The GOAT. The OG. The Best. What else you got? I've been going here since high school (early to mid 80s), and haven't stopped going. Simply the best. Yes, there are other really good frozen custard places in St. Louis, but Fritz's will always be the best. I love sitting either under the canopy, or a Ross the street at the park, eating a turtle. It seriously brings me back 40 years (man, am I old).

Wife had a vanilla malt, she said that it was good but could have had a little more malt flavor added to it . I had the famous Turtle Sunday, I got it supper sized . Buttered pecans, salted caramel, hot fudge served over Fritz's Custard. Man was it good! If you have to watch your sugar intake I highly recommend that you steer clear of this desert, it'll make you hurt yourself. 😂 Lol!!!

Went here for the first time and I really enjoyed the custard. I also got a punch card so I can redeem it for a free custard after it gets enough punches. The outside area is clean, and there are places outside to sit and eat. I also found out they sold slushies, cheesecake, and other desserts.

I don’t know how to start, I went and purchased a quart, didn’t have much to choose from they don’t fill your quart right there when you order it, their pre-fill orders supposedly flavor of the day or some stupid ridiculous excuse they gave me. So I chose from their chart strawberry banana which they said they had, so I go home I don’t have any that night so this morning we wanted to try it, opened it it was BlackBerry no banana, my wife looked on the lid BlackBerry, could not believe it why wouldn’t you tell someone that you didn’t have the strawberry banana after you told me you did, very very very disappointed and I’m gonna make sure everybody knows it, go down the street to Doozels, I ordered a Quart down there And they made it as I ordered it fresh out of their bucket and whatever it was awesome I should’ve went down there instead but it was packed I guess we know why!! very upset with Fritz’s, so anyway I called this morning told the lady what happens she claimed to be the manager she told me they wouldn’t take it back but she give me a new quart,But they only had lemon and cotton candy LOL what kind of place is this, this must be going under or something very very bad business I don’t get it I don’t understand it it doesn’t take a rocket science to pull out a quart and fill it up with what the customer wants it’s just not that tough fritzs is going down,Too bad because I liked it, never had a problem we went up there all the time too bad because I liked it, never had a problem we went up there all the time and order regular sized ,Never an issue they had pretty much anything we ordered but for some reason they don’t do quarts by the order or...

Fritz could not pass my custard quality check as I continue explore all frozen custard shops in IL, MO and MI. The quality of the custard was only a tip above than the frozen yogurt served at Costco's food court. Not eough eggs in it, not smooth look and not dense enough. What made experience more frustrating was the difficulty of placing an order, I had to fight for my order. I asked the girl, I wanted a concrete but not mixed/blended. She replied back you want a sundae. I said no, simply prepare the concrete and pass it to me as is before blending it, I am saving you an extra step. She replied I do not think we can do that. I asked do you really really really have to mix it why cant you just give it unmixed? She looked at me like i was an alien and ordering something unwordly and it was unlawful to do such thing. She said let me ask and she had to ask other employees if it they can not blend/mix the concrete. One semi intelligent employee came and talked to me said the toppings will be just on top are you ok with that? I said yesss! Thats what i am asking just do not blend it, I do not care. This was a very weird and aggravating experience to have at a custard shop. Never...

Update: March 2023 After a hiatus, I’ve been visiting here a little more often and have been able to consistently receive my same order with no problems. Bryan, one of the owners, reached out at the time of my last review and was very kind and courteous. He offered to buy me ice cream for the incident but I didn’t take him up on that offer. I wanted to see if things got better without the special attention, and it absolutely did.

Their most recent staff have been nothing short of amazing. Looking forward to late summer nights here.

2022: I come here all the time and get the same thing. Vanilla ice cream with a crumbled up brownie and marshmallow. It’s never been a problem. Today the shift leader told me that they can’t touch any brownies. It became much more of a problem than it needed to be with a line building up behind me while they asked around. My kids got ice cream simply because they already made it while we discussed mine, I left with nothing. I know it’s small but it ruined the rest...
