This is perhaps the worst Chinese food I've ever had. We ordered house Lo Mein. They used the wrong type of noodle(s). First of all it should only be one type. It seems that they started with one type then added a can of chicken noodle soup. Wrong noodle and wrong flavor. We paid for two pork egg rolls, only received one. Just as well as it tasted like pockets of unmixed flour. We ordered wonton soup which they clearly used beef broth, completely wrong flavor and tasted salty and cheap. We also ordered other dishes and were a repeat of my other experiences. We just moved to St. Louis from DC where they actually have a China town with restaurants with the real deal chefs. We have used local's reviews to decide where to go in the past and having the same experience, have come to the conclusion that people in STL don't know what real Chinese food tastes like. Horrible food, wrong flavors, poorly made and using wrong...
Read moreI will start by saying that the owners of the business were very friendly when trying to help me, but this situation has been frustrating. I wasn't aware that a Door Dash driver would be delivering my food since I placed my order for delivery through No. 1 China Restaurant's website directly. The website needs to clearly state to customers before they place their orders that delivery is through Door Dash, not a "trusted third party deliver service." Door Dash is not a trusted third party delivery service. My Door Dash driver never delivered my food. If I knew that delivery would be through Door Dash, I would have just gone to pick up myself. I've since issued a refund with Door Dash, and I hope money is refunded both to me and this establishment. Door Dash Driver, if you can hear me: I hope you enjoyed my food and my tip!...
Read moreI've been eating at No. 1 China for years. We usually get their fried rice, general tso's chicken, and crab Rangoon. It's very good. However, if you require any sauce, forget it. They have bins for sauce, but they're empty. You have to ask for them and when you do she gives like 2 packets. I don't understand, most places give plenty, leave it out so you can take what you want, or at least offer it for sale. Super irritating. They have cut back on the chicken in their chicken fried rice. Their prices have been going up to the point that all things considered, we just don't want to go there anymore. It's a shame because it's a dedicated family that has been there for years, working tirelessly to stay open so much. Maybe we'll try again in a year or so. One last thing, Google's prices are WAY off. Go their website, it's...
