Dickey's Barbecue Pit — Restaurant in Flower Mound

This Dickey's is what I wish all Dickey's were like, but sadly that is NOT usually the case. The meats and sides are always first rate and well prepared here. I usually get brisket, or ribs, or pulled pork, or sausage ... I love their combo plates. They run rib specials, so I can't ever pass one of those up. They no longer offer the jalapeno cornbread that was my favorite. The rolls are always hot and delicious, so not a big loss. They have great sides and a few others that are available by request, like fried okra (check the overhead board for the complete list). The wife likes the giant baked potatoes stuffed with your favorite meat and toppings. There are always mashed and mashed/cheese potatoes. A couple of types of beans. The jalapeno beans are my favorite. Mac and cheese is very tasty and not just for the kids. They have numerous other side options on down the line, but my plate is always full before I make it that far. They have a sauces and toppings bar for customizing your sandwiches. I’m from Pennsylvania and have had Dickey’s BBQ from the location in Bartonsville and it’s always been amazing, 5 stars hands down for that location. Also have tried the Bethlehem Dickey’s and once again, 5 stars, no complaints! I visited a few friends in Flower Mound Texas and my one friend had to take the car to work, leaving me to order food through door dash. I ordered Dickey’s and paid the extra dollar for jalapeños and cheddar cheese on my sandwich. I also requested extra pickles and onions (which come on the sandwich already.) I chose two sides, potatoes casserole and the ceasar salad. Needless to say when I go my order there was nothing but chunks of fat pork in between two buns, no onions, no pickles, no jalapeños, no cheddar cheese, NOTHING, just legit chunks of fat, barely any pork. My ceasar salad looked like it was a week old and was so watery (not with dressing) that it soaked the whole bottom of the bag. May2020: 5 🌟: I came by this location yesterday to place an order for our family gathering at the house celebrating the graduation of my kid from high school. We bought a little bit of everything on the menu to ensure we had something for each of the seven people at our celebration meal. The workers were great and getting my order prepared and accurate. The restaurant appeared to be marked for customers to properly social distance while sitting inside the restaurant. I arrived early to pickup my order I made yesterday and they quickly finished it and delivered it to me.
