If a friend of mine hadn't invited me, I never in a million years would have seen/found this place on my own, because it's really tucked away, off the beaten path. It's on a side street from 2499, and not at all visible from 2499. Heck, it's sort of hard to spot from the street it is on.
The food menu is fairly limited, but the FM bacon onion jam burger with brie cheese that I ordered was tasty. The waffle fries were hot, crisp, but a tad salty. Of my three friends, two had the house burger and the third had the pretzel. Only the pretzel failed to go over well.
The beer menu was extensive, with several choices I'd never seen or heard of before. I think there are way too many IPAs on the beer menu, but I get that IPAs are very popular right now. If anyone from the Local Pint happens to read this, I have a suggestion: more porters and stouts and brown ales. Growlers can be filled here. I saw generic, unbranded cans of beer leaving the premises, but I didn't think to ask our servers how those worked.
We went on a Friday afternoon about 4:30, and it was already quite crowded. Multiple TVs were showing a variety of sports channels, but it was never too loud to hear the conversation with my friends.
Our two servers were polite and attentive. In general, my only real criterion for a restaurant is: would I go back? And: yes, yes I would if only to try more beers. My only hesitation might be the lack of variety of the meal choices. Two or three burgers, two or three sandwiches, one salad, wings, and some appetizers. I will say I am very interested in trying the charcuterie board, but the only other choice I was at all interested in was the BOJ/brie burger, and I suspect it will get old quickly.
Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. Try it out. It's just around the corner from Lifetime Fitness, but it's hard to spot if one doesn't already know it's there, and/or one is...

Read moreAs empty nesters, we often find ourselves going out to dinner. 7 years ago, we were so excited to see LP’s sign going up in our neighborhood. From the first time we visited to now (literally) hundreds of times, we have never once left disappointed in the food or the service. The owners and staff have become family to us because of their constant care and attention. They take time to get to know everyone that walks in the door and make them feel at home and a part of the Local Pint community.
The food quality has been top notch since day one. From their staples of the BOJ burger and chicken strips to the creative new items available each month we are constantly in love with every bite.
I’m not a big beer drinker but my husband is and tries something new every time we go. He loves the variety and quality of each pint. I love their ciders and am always excited to try the newest one in the rotation.
We are so lucky to have Local Pint in Flower Mound and look forward to many more years of delicious food and...
