Tried Curry up Now which is a new block in Flower Mound. Ordered a take out via walk in. The whole place was lively with music blasting and people trying out the new joint.
It definitely looked like there were teething issues certainly due to being a new place. The lady that took my order did not ask for preferences of sauce, type of rice etc. Since I reviewed the menu online I was able to provide some of those details but those did not get carried over within the order.
They completely missed one entree item from the order. Had to drive all the way back to the store to report it and have them make it. Requested for chana masaa as a side which got replaced with something else.
Let's talk about food. It was definitely underwhelming in terms of taste, quantity and quality especially for the price points. The Naan's were the worst. They felt like they were some store bought that were re-heated (may be or may be not but that's what we felt after eating).
The chicken tikka masala lacked flavor and could be much better. Overall, thumbs down and we don't think we...
Read moreLast week discovered a nice cozy food joint in Flower mount, on cross timbers road, next to Kroger. We were a group of 8 and could get seated immediately with tables quickly joined.
It’s not just a place to eat; it’s a space to huddle with friends, relax and chitchat. The menu was anything but ordinary. While rooted in authentic Indian flavors, many dishes carried a unique twist… spring rolls with a masala dosa bhaji filling, Pammi ke kabab and chicken 69. Even the cocktails n mocktails named so uniquely and prepared so refreshingly (Chat-GPT and Banglore Old fashioned, Mint condition)
I was curious about the name and asked the owners who were very attentive. I always thought it was an english translation of करी अपनाओ, a fun twist however I was corrected.
We fully enjoyed the evening with happy tummies and great time together. पेट भरा पर दिल नही भरा, फिरसे आना होगा.. will be back there soon to try more dishes and fresh cocktails n mocktails, this time with family.
Hurry up now and head to...
Read moreWe had a fantastic dining experience here! We tried a variety of dishes – the Punjabi 69 Chicken, Chicken Burrito, Naughty Naan (Paneer), Samosa Chaat, Lamb Tacos, and Vada Pav – and every single item was absolutely delicious. The flavors were bold, creative, and well-executed. Even our little ones loved the food, which says a lot!
The menu is incredibly innovative while still retaining the heart and soul of Indian street food – a perfect balance of tradition and modern flair.
The Mango Lassi was refreshingly fresh and perfectly balanced – not overly sweet. We also tried their signature cocktail “Chaat GPT” – clever name and a solid drink with a unique kick.
The ambiance is vibrant with a lively vibe, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. We enjoyed it so much that we’re already looking forward to coming back again and again – we plan to try everything on the menu eventually!
Highly recommend this place for anyone who enjoys flavorful food, great service, and a...
