Let me just say why I did not bring this issue to the owners attention. When we went to order there was some baked items in the display. The items was identified but no price was included. We had to ask what the price was for the different items, a little inconvenience. We asked how come the prices wasn't listed, was initially was told don't know. Had order a soda that came with a name on it, which we didn't care for the name and asked for a different one. A comment was made about the name which was misunderstood. Once the order was complete and we found a table. Then the food was brought to our table. Am going to assume one of the owners I believe his name is Kevin. Came up to address a few things. 1. That they receive the baked goods from a local bakery and don't put the prices on the items because they don't know what the price is until they come in. My question is, if you have time to write the item name, why not take another minute to write the price. Would save time on having to ask the cashier. 2. Sorry if you was offended by asking for a different name on the bottle of soda but apparently it was an issue. 3. The comment that was made about the unwanted name was misunderstood. Instead of finding out what was said, we were aggressively confronted about it. The food was okay. I got a protein bowl, which came with egg, bacon and cheese. Paid extra for sausage and hashbrown. Thinking that the bacon was included. The bacon was left out after i had add the sausage, my mistake for not asking beforehand. It was warm at best not hot. A bit over priced but we thought we would give it a chance. Needles to say we will not be back, which am sure you don't care. As a side note, I bet you won't publish this because it's not a 5 star review but...
Read moreWe made a trip to Flowery Branch, GA to camp. Stopped by Whole Being Cafe for breakfast one morning. We had met Kevin and Gail while in deployment with Mercy Chef’s. They are two of the nicest people you will ever meet.
Their coffee shop is on downtown Flowery Branch. The brick decor screams cafe!! Local made pastries tempt your senses when you walk in, mixed in with Nitro Brew in the background!
We grabbed a coffee flight, strawberry smoothie, protein bowl and some cheese and brown toast.
The food was amazing. Protein bowl was a very large portion, seasoning nicely. The cheese toast was toasted bread with seasoned butter and melted sharp cheddar. (Brought my childhood back) The brown toast was cinnamon sugar toast that melted in your mouth.
My strawberry banana smoothie was better than any “corporate smoothie” shop. Fast of fresh strawberries and bananas hit the spot!
The Nitro coffee flight was the star of the show! It included “Stout Truffle”, “Strawberry Hibiscus”, “Blonde Blueberry Basil” and “Peach Perfect”! Stout truffle will please any dark roast lover, blueberry basil was just amazing and my wife RAVED over the peach perfect!
If you stop by, make sure to save plenty of time to hang out and savor the moment! The furniture and decor upstairs is an antique lover’s dream!
Kevin and Gail love their community and offer a discount for first time visitors. The also offer a “F.A.N.” card. You can round up your bill to the next dollar or give a donation. Those proceeds go on the Feed A Neighbor card, that Whole Being uses to feed those that might come in needing a meal, but unable to afford it.
So if your local to the area or drove 4 hours to stop by: Whole Being Cafe is worth the trip! You won’t be...
Read moreMy husband and I were visiting the area and stumbled across this wonderful cafe. The menu is vast - many types of coffee, teas, smoothies, hand baked pastries and breakfast sandwiches. We ordered a cup of their darkest coffee and were pleasantly surprised when it was served in a very large coffee mug complete with sugar and "real cream." We often have to make due with half and half since many places do not have real cream. I ordered an asiago bagel sandwich with egg, sausage and cheddar cheese. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito. When the food came out to our table it was piping hot and very generous in portion. My bagel was so tender with a crusty outside and stuffed with egg, cheddar and a large sausage patty. My husbands burrito was filled with hash browns , sausage, bacon and cheddar cheeses - a large burrito and served with a side of homemade salsa. Both were great and hit the spot since we were both really hungry. My husband said that was the best and most filling breakfast burrito he has ever been served. My sandwich was likewise wonderful. The chef came out to talk to us when we told the front staff how much we liked the food . I learned that my bagel was locally sourced and steamed which gave it that wonderful crust and tenderness. The chef handmakes the sausage and adds a special blend of spices to the eggs. It was obvious that he took great pride in his craft. We were not rushed and enjoyed a second mug of coffee before leaving. I would have no hesitations recommending this cafe and we will be back if we are in...
