Fort Rock Brewing is a newly opened micro brewery specializing in traditional type beers, IPA's, Pilsners and Stouts. It's located inside the Nimbus Winery,, a high profile location expected to attract local residents who are new to Craft Beer. The Official Grand Opening for Fort Rock Brewing is scheduled for Friday, March 10th. Getting it done has been a long thirteen month process, but from the crowds and buzz during the soft opening on a recent Sunday afternoon, it appears to have been well worth the wait.
The hours are currently scheduled to be11:00 am to 11:00 pm. Fort Rock is family friendly and dog friendly. Food is provided by the Old Spaghetti Factory, which has created special menu for Fort Rock Brewing customers.
Fort Rock Brewing's most popular beer is a Pilsner, which is made in a traditional Czech style with 100% Sierra Nevada runoff water, soft, pure and clean from Folsom Lake. Folsom Lake water matches up well with water from the Czech Pilson region. Traditional Czech hops and Czech yeast are used in making Fort Rock Brewing's Pilsner.
Ashley, who works behind the counter, says she's been puring a lot of Patagonia Pale made with Patagonia malt, giving it a little extra "roastiness" that some other Pales don't have.
The Official Grand Opening is scheduled for Friday, March 10th. The moment you walk through the door, you'll feel like you're entering a place you've never been before. It's well...
Read moreGREAT BEER!!! But who on earth is the evil woman behind the counter? I drove well over 2 hours from South Lake today(due to Road work)for work and honestly wish I went to a dive instead for a Rolling Rock. Even decent service makes bad beer enjoyable. Super uncomfortable here. I'm from Twin Bridges up the hill so obviously I'm not a local. But I collect pint glasses and coasters. Why is the purchase of pint glasses and/or coasters such a seemingly contentious question for her when they have a wall of "merch"? I'm not coming back, but that's mainly because I DON'T LIVE HERE. Also, y'all are literally located in the GHETTO. And if you post a "masks are required at all times" sign, WEAR THEM. Confusing as all hell. Wouldn't last 2 seconds in the mountains...
Read moreI had my first visit to this brewery today, and I had a great time. They have a large selection of craft beers to choose from, and the few that I had were excellent. They have a very large open floor plan seating area with lots of tables and a few lounge chairs. The seating area is handicap accessible. The bartenders were very friendly and their service was quick. You can even order food from The Old Spaghetti Factory across the way! There is a bit of an older crowd that visits here, but don't let that deter you. If you're looking for a comfy place to knock back a couple beers with some friends, look no further.
My only complaint I have with my visit is about the waitress that came with the food that I ordered, she was pretty rude. But that's no fault...
