Peet's Coffee — Restaurant in Folsom

Ordered 2 caramel macchiato iced. Workers were very rude to begin with. I got the coffee and asked for kids. The lady just avoids me. I asked 2nd time no response finally. The other worker noticed us. Gave us the lids. Finally.

Drive off and to find out the drinks are very off. 1 is tasteless not sweet at all. 2nd drink over sweetened impossible to even drink. Had to come back. I come in, the guy asks what's wrong and I tell him the issue he was nice and said no problem. Then the girl who made them comes up and kind rudely asks me what's wrong with them. I tell her, 1 drink is tasteless and 1 is over sweetened. She starts putting in the return or whatever in the computer and asks me again how I want the drinks made with less sweetener this time. I tell her. I want " regular iced caramel macchiatos" nothing else. She gives me attitude that I am the one at fault. And then in front of me the other girl comes up and asks what's wrong how remake them. And she tells her that "he thinks" one is too sweet and the other one is not with attitude. Like wth?? Really I'm arguing with for this?? Terrible customer service. Never...

Two girls with black hair working the counter laughed in my face when they read my name and asked me if my name was “when” nope. Sorry. It’s Gwen. If English isn’t your first language I get it, but you don’t get to laugh at me when you don’t know how to pronounce a letter. Totally disrespectful to laugh in my face because you don’t know how to pronounce a name with 4 letters. Train your staff to be more respectful and not to literally laugh in a customers face because of her name. What is your problem? Felt extremely disrespected and uncomfortable today. My wife and I absolutely love the staff here at Pete’s, we are regulars here. Reason for my 1 star review, the staff used to be able to represent themselves with color and playful pins and shirts on / under their aprons. This allows the staff to show personality and brings a light fun atmosphere for people who come in.

Typical corporate mindset. Keep everyone in order and dressed the same. Basic black company uniform. I thought Peet’s would be different. Apparently Starbucks and Peet’s aren’t far from the same corporate mindset....
