If not for the bagels, I would have given it a 1 star. Came in early morning Saturday and had our order for 3 tuna bagels written on this paper. No other customers ordering at that time. The server proceeded to make the sandwiches. My husband saw the server putting something that does not look like tuna at all. The server said it was turkey. What the...so we repeated our order. The server turned her back then came back to say no more tuna left to make 3 but only for 1 sandwich. Since the bagels were already laid with vegetables, we said yes to the alternative chicken sandwich offered. Came in a flow of customers after us. 3 to 4 had orders taken and left, and we are still standing there. I said to myself, "Be patient. It is morning they are just starting". Saw more stuff to add to our order, who can resist not to look on their cupcakes and scones. Anyway, it was time to pay, and a white tall obnoxious customer seemed to be standing over and looking directly on how my husband was paying and suddenly whispered to his ear that sounded like an offensive remark. I found out he was not delighted that we skipped tipping their service. He does not know what was going on and decided to mind our business maybe he is a loyal customer, he told us to give them a break. For one, servers were just standing and looking on their cellphones not helping our server so she finish fast. Why can't they do the order as they come before getting on the next one? We left without even entertaining the guy's rant while he made a scene inside the store. The server could have said something for him to stop, but I guess she was also surprised. She knows customers have the choice to give a tip. I'm not going back to this place. We were always here coming from work to bring bagels and croissants...
Read moreThe only plus I see, is it is located in Folsom. The bagels are not very good, and they are over-priced. I ordered a dozen bagels, and was disappointed that it was 12 instead of the traditional 13 for a baker's dozen. While paying, the cashier must have been new (which is ok, we all learn when doing a new job) because she got scolded by an angry woman for not charging enough. Evidently having a cranberry bagel means it is "gourmet" and therefore needs a higher price. I was told the new amount was $18.47. I said there is no way I was paying that for a dozen bagels. The angry woman again scolded this young worker who was getting frustrated. I felt bad for her. A third worker came to help her out. The new total was $16 and some change. Still way too much money for twelve bagels. All because I did not want to drive an extra 15 minutes (each way) to go to Noah's on Hazel. I figured the bagels would still be good. I get home and we start to eat them. The first raisin bagel tastes like garlic and onion and is covered in sesame seeds. I am fine with the seeds but not a big fan of garlic and, for me, onions taste terrible. Back to the "gourmet" cranberry bagel...while it had a nice taste, the bagels was much smaller than the other flavors I got. Even the texture of the all the bagels is off. They are very dense, not light and chewy like nearly every other bagel place. Bottom line, they are expensive and poor quality. Sacramento is not known for having good bagels anyway, so if you are looking for something reasonable, go with Noah's. Posh bagel is just a complete...
Read moreI hate this place. Will NEVER return and will warn anyone I can. Absolutely terrible experience. Rude, short tempered, and tasteless. We came back after our first horrible experience and instant regret. Couldn't get my order right the first time and whoever the brunette older lady is seems so inconvenienced by their own shortcomings. The second time we didn't even get through our order before we left. I asked for a basic sandwich and upon looking at what comes in the sandwich (shown on their menu) I stated I didn't want a few of the items that came on it. The older brunette lady making the sandwich slammed the bagel on the food prep area and said in an extremely irritated tone of voice, "then what do you want on it?" My husband got so upset we ended up walking out without ordering anything. We made a vow to never return. This isn't "Posh" since it is clearly GHETTO. The service is terrible, the people that work there are extremely rude, incompetent, and outside of the taste of the bagel itself, the food has NO flavor. Very expensive for cheap food.
Lesson: Go to Noah's NY Bagels 10 minutes away in the Palladio. Noah's has better food, better service, clean atmosphere, and worth...
