I rarely leave reviews but this made a lasting impression. I’ve been coming here for over a decade and I’ve came here for celebrations, some get together’s, post-church hang outs with friends but this time… smh 🤦🏽♂️
They wouldn’t let me get my usual - veggie burrito + asada because all of a sudden it wasn’t in the system. I told them I’ve gotten that for years and magically, out of nowhere, they find it but they refuse to sell it to me because it’s not charging me enough for the asada.
So, they force me to buy an Asada burrito + guac and wanted to charge me extra for sour cream and cheese (which comes standard on a veggie burrito) but I said I’d rather skip all that and opted for just guacamole.
I had to pay $13 for my usual $9-10 order.
They call my number.. I take a bite.. no asada. I send it back.. They call my number.. I open it up.. a tiny sprinkle of asada. I kid you not.. not even enough for a taco. They said they wouldn’t sell me a veggie with asada because they were going to serve me 3x the portion size of a taco. I got .5x the portion size
This place has really changed…. Can honestly say, this is my last time here. I’m going to Estrella Taco where it’s $9.98 AND it’s a...
Read moreI had the unfortunate experience of chewing this piece of shredded aluminum in my bean and cheese burrito. I suspect if I were to have accepted my initial thought of “oh that’s just a chalky bean” and swallowed this, it probably would have killed me. Luckily I decided to investigate. Hopefully I didn’t inadvertently swallow any other aluminum.
In addition to this which in my opinion makes this restaurant an absolute no-go from now until the end of time, the food was just whatever, and the service was absolutely terrible.
I don’t know if I just happened to go on a bad day or what, like maybe the manager called out today, but there was absolutely no structure to how orders were fulfilled. There was no “order 655, order 665!” at the pickup counter. There was no one bringing orders out to the table. The way you got your order was to go up to the counter and be upset and ask where it is after some indeterminate amount of time.
It sucks, because I really like the atmosphere of this place. It looks kind of like it was an old auto shop that got converted into a restaurant, which is really cool.
Oh well. I’d highly recommend you go...
Read moreI live up in the high desert but my job does from time to time take me down the Cajon Pass and into bigger cities. Up here in the high desert we have some fine eating establishments, however, my recent trip down the hill my supervisor treated me to lunch at Viva Villa. When he asked me what I would like to eat I told him I'm not picky that I would even eat sesos and lengua. So he took me to Viva Villa. And there I enjoyed some of the most fabulous lengua tacos that I probably ever had. The tacos were stuffed so full that as I was taking a bite the feeling was falling out the back of the taco but yet there are still plenty in the bite that I did take that it was definitely worth taking LOL. And the restaurant was quite amazing because the dining area is actually built around a rather large tree on the property. And there is even a table set around the tree. So of course that's where I sat LOL. And I also enjoyed a tripas taco. Again stuffed so full it was falling out the back but still plenty in the bike that I took. If you're looking for excellent Mexican Cuisine I highly...
