First I want to say I have been coming to this McDonalds for years and have never had an issue like this before. Tonight at around 8:40, I went through the drive-thru for a simple Half-cut Sweet Tea. As I dove away and tried my tea I realized it was not sweet at all. I pulled back into the parking lot and went inside to let them know. The manager/shift lead working the drive-thru told me there was nothing wrong with the tea as he has been serving it all night with no other complaints. As he was saying this he opened the lid of the tea container where you can clearly see it was almost full, so was not being served all night or at least not to too many people. I tried to insure him again that it was not sweet, that I’ve been drinking their tea for years. He replied, so has all the others that haven’t complained. He then talked to me condescendingly as he said I can put in more sweet if you like. He then poured about ¾ of this so called sweet tea into the cup before topping it with unsweet. I tried it again and once again let him know it was not sweet. Not only did he not once try the tea himself to check it. But again condescendingly said, I don’t know what you want me to do sir, no one else has complained. There is sugar out there if you need more. I told him to keep the $1.07 and the tea, because it was not sweet and I didn’t want it. Now I kept my cool, all I did was stand my ground and no say, I’m sorry it must be me. I never raised my voice or swore like I wanted to. I simply told him to keep the money and the tea and walked out. A simple, sorry about that sir, it is too late to make more tea tonight. Can I offer you something else? Anything other than tell me I was wrong for saying it was not sweet. Nope, let’s not be considerate and professional to the customer. Instead let’s tell him he is the issue because no one else has complained about this almost full sweet tea I’m lying about pouring all night. So disappointed in the lack of service and...
Read moreOrder mix-up’s happen. We all understand that (although, come to think of it, I’ve never had a Chick-Fil-A order come out wrong). However this was a 3-strikes experience for me.
First, the menu showed a highlighted “new” item (see first photo - white cheddar chicken sandwich) that sounded pretty good! When we ordered it, first they just left it off the order screen and didn’t say anything. (Strike #1) When we expressed concern that it wasn’t on the screen, they went back and forth telling us WE weren’t reading the menu correctly, and it was discontinued. They finally said THEY ran out of ingredients for it 2 days ago. (Strike #2) Okay. Mistakes happen. (But don’t blame me for ordering something clearly on your menu!) And you don’t change your menu for 2 days after you run out? This could probably be strike 3, but we were hungry... so on we went.
Then I ordered a Double-Quarter-Pounder (see exhibit 2) but was given a single in a double-box. Tough to say if it was intentional or not (they were the clearly not happy we asked for something they didn’t have and pressed the issue), but this dismal customer service was surprising - even for McDonald’s. It’s not shocking that their market share is dropping so fast!
Gave a second star back for a delicious Southwest Salad. Probably generous, but we definitely won’t...
Read moreThe last I’d say 5 times I’ve been to this location, their employees have been too stupid to get a simple order correct. This time was about the worst, and I won’t be going back. I ordered a breakfast #7 sausage egg and cheese McGriddle meal, super simple right? Apparently not that simple... I pay and pull up, first they hand my drink to the lady in front of me, she notices and gives it back to them, now I pull up they hand me a small mello yellow instead of the medium the meal comes with, then the guy in the window asks what I ordered, so I tell him a sausage McGriddle meal, so he turns to another guy and asks for the sausage McGriddle, they throw a bag together and hand it to me... fast foreword I pull into work expecting a sausage egg and cheese McGriddle and hash brown, open my bag to find a sausage McGriddle no cheese or egg and no hash-brown. Too late to go back without being late to work, so I will not be going back again. Thanks forest lake McDonald’s for hiring the most incompetent people you can find, and proving the consumer right when we talk about orders...
