Di-Vine Plant Based Cuisine — Restaurant in Forest Park

Today I came because of the reviews and pictures that I saw posted which looked amazing .. starting with the customer service was 200% very friendly I ordered the large moxtails with rice, Mac& cheese and plantains.. also a side of pepper steak and fried chicken.. now the moxtails texture was not what I expected. Once I took a bite it fell completely apart and all I saw was whole beans and chick peas and maybe the rice paper that was around it. The fried chicken was extremely tough!!!I I ordered a side of sweet chili and plain. I wish that when ordering that the cashier would have asked which type I’d prefer because I didn’t know that they had cauliflower and seitan. Until I threw my trash away and saw a menu board on the side of the trash can. She did tell me that the chicken was gonna around 15 minutes which was ok because I was dinning in.. what I did hear was what seemed to be a microwave timer constantly going off while waiting which I believe my food was just being warmed up.beep beep beep . The food is tasty but the price is astronomical for the portion size. I paid $19 for 3 items which by the way was a small plate. My husband paid $30 for a large plate that definitely couldn't feed 2 people. Straight up taxing people to eat healthy is a huge disadvantage for a new place. We gave this place a try but probably won't be back considering we paid fine dining prices for food in a box. #disappointed

My job is conveniently 10 minutes away from your restaurant so I was able to enjoy the food and the price this go round. Again I have no complaints about the food it is very tasty. The adjustments you all made will have me coming back for lunch and big up yourselves for the gluten free...

I literally regret having to make this review because it just saddens me when I have a poor meal experience and I can assume it’s minority owned which saddens me even worse. I order off door dash and the flavors and textured repulsed everyone who touched the steak plate with peppers. I had cabbage and Mac. Steak was very chewy and resembled dog food. No distinguished flavor palette. I’d recommend preparing it to be more meat like since it’s a wheat gluten that’s is intended to be meat-like. The cabbage was ok. The plantains were too. The Mac and cheese fell incredibly flat. More seasoning could help. But my food seemed quite unfresh and came to me cold.
