THE GOOD This place makes absolutely perfect pancakes: fluffy on the inside, crisp edges, and huge!
According to my husband, the chicken and waffle is amazing too. He couldnāt stop talking about the gravy.
The location is great. Itās walkable if you use the two rivers trail which I did on one occasion when I ordered the food to go and ate at the park.
THE MEH Service was initially slow (they might be understaffed?).
They donāt provide enough syrup for the pancakes. I had to ask for a little bit more because they give you the smallest amount.
The drink selection I feel could improve. They partnered with green vida for an orange drink but I really wish they offered orange or apple juice (or maybe they do and itās just not listed on the menu)
THE BAD The hash browns are horrendous. I hope they replace them with home fries or something else.
Overall, I think this is a great breakfast spot. Food arrives quickly and the selections Iāve made so far have been great. The portions are good and the prices...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis morning I stopped at Sunny Side Up for breakfast while I was in the Easton area. Because we frequent Edge Restaurant in Bethlehem, and SURV in Forks Township, with Sunny Side Up being the same owners, we knew the food was going to be top quality. I ordered the Lafayette. The eggs were hot and fresh. The potato hash is definitely unique and something you don't find at other breakfast spots often. My turkey bacon was perfect. And my pancake was so light and fluffy that I didn't even use my butter knife. The coffee was delicious and made local. Also their own specialty juice that Green Vida makes exclusively for Sunny Side Up is absolutely delicious and fresh squeezed. Also not to mention, my server was very friendly and attentive. She made sure I understood the menu and helped me make a good decision for a tasty breakfast to start my morning. I highly recommend that you give this place a try. This local gem, is very reasonably priced for the quality of food that you receive. I will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWow, i am really surprised I'm in the minority here... i thought the hashbrowns were awful and I cant eat them. I love hashbrows, so I'm mad half my meal is going to waste. They are overseasoned to the point that i can't taste my eggs Benedict. A good chef knows this is fatal to a dish. I tried mixing a few with the benedict to add more flavor, but there's something else in the hashbrowns that's off putting. You read the reviews where someone is like "this is the best chinese i ever had!".. and completely far from reality. Now the opposite of "this was the worst i ever had", may have more validity. Gotta say, i never throw away hashbrowns, so you can infer what i mean.
It's a monday morning, Feb 6 and i ordered online for pickup. Maybe hopefully someone made an error in the kitchen and I had a bad experience.
The benedict was ok. Again, couldnt fully taste due to the trashcan hashbrowns flavor...
