I am going to preface this by saying that I managed an Arby's corporate location for three years. I absolutely love Arby's food - when it is done right. I don't fault reataurants for little mistakes - it happens. But the issues I have at this location are consistent and frustrating.
My first issue is that, when I order mozzarella sticks or jalapeño bites, I have to ask for Broncoberry or marinera sauce. Those are both supposed to be provided automatically. One sauce for a small, two for a large. I am assuming the staff has been informed by the franchise owner to withhold sauces to save money - this is not okay. This isn't a sometimes problem - this is literally every time I have ordered those items. It is so frustrating to get home and not have the sauce that goes with the items I ordered - you wouldn't serve a French dip without au jus, you shouldn't serve the sides without their accompanying sauce.
My second issue is that I like my sandwich a special way - but it isn't difficult. I always order a roast beef sandwich with a slice of cheddar. I have only ever received the right thing once. I almost always end up with roast beef with cheddar sauce. After working there for 3 years I don't really care for the cheddar sauce anymore. Tonight, I received a sandwich with the wrapper marked Special, but no cheese at all.
Issue number three is a bit nit-picky, because I know what to expect. The roast beef is being sliced too thick - you should be able to lay a slice down on a wrapper and see through it. What I received tonight was far from correct.
Number four regards the Mac and cheese. I think the product is fantastic - but it is always cold when I receive it. Granted, this has happened at a different location as well, so it is possible that it is a process issue.
It sucks to like the product so much, but not be able to depend on a consistent product. That is literally why chain restaurants exist. Very...
Read moreWe arrived at Arbys at 815 pm. There was 1 couple waiting for food. We stood at the counter to order. After about 8 minutes a young girl finally walked up and said what can i get you? (We counted 8 employees working) we ordered our food and got our drink cups. We started to get our drinks and saw a lot of fruit flies at the soda fountain. We sat down at the only table that looked clean. The counters and floors were covered in napkins and sauces and the table tops were all dirty. As we waited I went in the restroom to wash my hands and a male employee was in the stall taking an order in the drive thru through his head set. 2 parties arrived and ordered there good. We sat and watched them get there orders and leave and we are still waiting (we've now been waiting 22 minutes for 3 sandwiches.) I approached the counter and waited another 5 min to be greeted even though there were 2 employees standing right in front of me, and i finally said excuse me. One of the girls turned and asked what she could help me with. I asked how much longer for our order. She asked my name and then said "oh there were 2 orders ahead of you." I replied "no, there was 1 party ahead of us and 2 after us and all of them have got there food and left." She said "oh all of your good is right here so it will be just another minute." I then hear someone say I need 2 doubles for Leonards order. 2 other employees then replied, " I have his order right here." By now 3 people have my order. It was like no one communicated with each other. We ended up being there 1 hr and 15 min. I could have gone to a full service restaurant and been out quicker than i was at a "fast food" restaurant. No apology for the wait or anything. Definitely will not go back to that...
Read moreSo I placed my order for 2 gyros and 2 large shakes I contacted my driver to make sure to bring straws and napkins since I was in the middle of moving. The driver ask if he could get straws and napkins because I had asked him to make sure. The person at the store assured him they were in the sealed bag. No straws and no napkins. Contacted door dash and informed them the situation. The official door dash policy is if you order soup and they deliver it with a fork to eat it with that is perfectly acceptable and they will do nothing to assist you because they delivered your soup. The agent then hung up on me. Contacted Arby's the phone rang and then sounded like the phone was picked up then hung up but it was closing time so who can really be sure. I will just assume since door dash we did our job and disconnected on me so did Arby's. So I am perfectly clear I am a Chef I have canceled my personal account with as well as their ability to deliver for any restaurants associated with me in any way. As an employee if Arby's hung up on me I will no longer do business with them either. All over someone being too lazy to put $0.10 straws and napkins in a bag and take care of customer. Now so I put this in a context that's understandable I reviewed my records. Last year I spent over $1,100 at this Arby's. Guess they won't be seeing that money next year. Now imagine 100 customers like me, then 1,000, then do the math. So the $30 meal I ordered that I spent my time trying to salvage by getting straws and napkins that resulted in me being hung up on twice is in the trash can at McDonald's where I was even asked if I wanted or needed napkins or utensils with my order and I was even thanked for my business and asked...
