I cannot believe I’m writing this, but my recent experience at the Chick-fil-A in Fort Collins was beyond frustrating and completely unacceptable. I have always associated Chick-fil-A with friendly and efficient service, but this location has seriously tainted that reputation.
I walked into the restaurant with high expectations, looking forward to enjoying a simple milkshake. Little did I know, I was about to embark on one of the most exasperating customer service experiences of my life. I placed my order and was told it would be just a few minutes. Okay, no problem—I get it, sometimes things take a little longer. But a little longer turned into a wait of over 30 minutes for just ONE milkshake. That’s right, 30 minutes.
As I waited, I couldn’t help but notice how many employees walked by me, some even making eye contact, yet not a single one stopped to ask if I was okay, if I needed anything, or if there was a delay with my order. I was completely ignored by the staff, who seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves or attending to drive-thru customers than ensuring the people standing right in front of them were taken care of.
At one point, I counted at least five employees who walked right past me without even acknowledging my presence. How is that acceptable customer service? It’s like I was invisible to them. Even when I tried to make eye contact or subtly signal for assistance, I was blatantly disregarded. The lack of communication was not just disappointing, it was downright insulting.
After 20 minutes, I finally approached the counter to inquire about my order. The response I got was less than satisfactory. The staff member seemed confused, checked the system, and told me, “It should be out shortly.” Should be? It should have been out 15 minutes ago! No apology, no explanation for the delay, just a vague assurance that it was coming. But guess what? Another 10 minutes passed before I finally received my milkshake. A total of 30 minutes for a simple milkshake—are you kidding me?
To add insult to injury, the milkshake was handed to me without any semblance of an apology or acknowledgment of the absurd wait time. It was like they couldn’t care less about the inconvenience they had caused. No offer of a refund, no complimentary item, not even a genuine “sorry.” Just a robotic, “Here you go,” and that was it.
I understand that fast-food places get busy, and mistakes happen, but this was not a one-time issue—it was a systemic failure in customer service. The lack of attentiveness and communication from the staff was inexcusable. This experience has made me question whether I want to continue supporting Chick-fil-A if this is the level of service I can expect.
If you’re thinking about visiting this location, be prepared for an incredibly long wait, a total disregard for your time, and a staff that clearly doesn’t care about the customers in front of them. Chick-fil-A, you can do better than this. This was a massive letdown, and I’m seriously disappointed. Fix your service, or you’ll continue to lose loyal...
Read moreFirst off, let me say how much I enjoy visiting a Chick-fil-A restaurant and always know the quality and service I will receive. Something the company has gone to great lengths to ensure the best customer experience and quality of their product is their team member training program. People comment frequently about how the team members are always happy and have been almost brainwashed into responding with “it’s my pleasure”. Albeit a fast food restaurant paying a marginal hourly wage to your typical high school/college student, this is something that the company drives deep into the fabric of their being, which, does tend to set them apart from other fast food establishments. And of course, their religious doctrines and being closed on Sunday. For the first time in the 15 years of visiting their stores across the country from stand-alone stores to those in many airports which I visit frequently in my life as a flight attendant, my recent visit to their Ft. Collins store in Colorado came as a bit of a shock. I was still greeted with the warm smile and friendly atmosphere and I observed a team member going above and beyond as they will do and are empowered to do so, however, not one team member returned the expected, “it’s my pleasure”, after being thanked. The young woman who took my order, the young gentleman who brought my order to the table, nor the final young man whom refilled my drink as I was leaving the store. Oddly, this seemed very peculiar and almost offensive as I’ve grown to expect the same kind of response that I’ve grown to respect from the brand. Now this certainly isn’t something that is going to dissuade me from going back, but it did make me take notice to how much we the consumer become stigmatized to branding and how important it really is. So come on Chick-fil-A, let’s get some corporate coaching in there and shore up the leak.
Thanks for a great product and let’s get those peach shakes into the stores a...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I had the pleasure of dining at Chick-fil-A recently, and it was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and an inviting atmosphere that set the tone for our entire visit.
The menu was filled with tempting options, but we decided to indulge in their signature chicken sandwiches and waffle fries. The food arrived promptly, and every bite was a delightful experience. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked to a tender, juicy perfection, while the waffle fries were crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It’s not just the food that made our visit memorable; it’s the remarkable flavors and the obvious care put into preparing each dish.
What truly set this visit apart was the exceptional customer service we received. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our meal was enjoyable, checking in on us to make sure everything was to our liking and quickly accommodating any request we had. Their attention to detail and genuine kindness added an extra layer of satisfaction to our dining experience.
Chick-fil-A not only delivered delicious food but also showcased the power of great customer service. It’s clear that they value their customers and strive to create a welcoming environment for everyone. We left with full stomachs and happy hearts, already looking forward to our next visit.
To anyone looking for a tasty meal served with a side of genuine hospitality, I highly recommend Chick-fil-A. It’s not just a meal; it’s an experience that leaves you wanting more. Thank you to the team for making our dining experience so memorable. We will...
