Decent dumplings for Fort Collins. 4 stars is pushing it but 3 would be too low. Glad someone is finally doing soup dumplings in the area. Ive been spoiled coming from Manhattan and having the best dimsum in the world. Admittedly biased & a bit disappointed the Bao was not more doughy… all the dumplings kinda tasted the same and had the same wrapper, just closed up differently and either steamed or fried. Somewhat bland too, depth of flavor is pretty limited. Also the atmosphere is really borderline cold. It’s quieter than a library in there… you can hear the kitchen equipment humming the moment you walk in- how about some music? There are tons of tables and it’s very open so it just feels a bit weird. I also thought the ordering system and self-serve soda machine was a bit awkward. The digital/TV menu’s are nice but maybe add some nice photos - I don’t think a lot of people here would know what some of the items are. My last thought is while I didn’t think it was expensive, I can’t see the local CSU demographic this (should) be catering to, really going all out here.

Tried out Chopstickers and was incredibly disappointing. Tried out the rice and pork, beef noodles, and dumplings. None of which presented much flavor. The part that I found most disappointing was the poor quality of beef cuts in the soup. There was still lots of fat and even an aorta still attached (pictured above). The other food was somewhat tasteless and not cooked well, such as the dumplings which were cooked on one side and not the other. Not to mention the corn in the noodles and rice tasted like it was canned. Overall the food was pretty bad and didn’t settle well. The other issue was the price to quality ratio. For two of us to eat it was around $60, which for a spot in campus west thriving on college kids isn’t great. The place was also very short staffed. In all I ended up having to buy two dinners tonight and wish I could have gotten a refund if I’m being completely honest.

Ordered pickup. I arrived in 15 mins, which is when they said it'd be ready. When I came home (less than 10 mins), the food was almost lukewarm instead of still being hot. The steamed porl buns only had pork belly bun and shredded lettuce. The pork itself had pretty good flavoring, but the only other topping was shredded lettuce. I'm used there being other toppings, usually ones with potent flavors. This made the buns pretty bland. It was better with the sauce that comes with the steamed pork bao buns. The dough of the steamed pork bao buns was really firm. Inside the buns were ground pork meatballs, which were also very bland. I'm used to bao having a sauce on the inside, but these did not have it. While I wouldn't order the bao buns again, they are redeemable with the sauce. In general, the food needs more flavor.

i don’t like to leave negative reviews, but i’m still feeling a bit queasy from the food an hour after eating so now i’m annoyed 😬 we ordered the pork belly buns and the soup dumplings. the service was good, the man who took our order and brought our food out was nice! atmosphere was fine. pricing was pretty fair for the amount of food. however, when the soup dumplings came out, i noticed that they looked nothing like the pictures in the reviews. they were smaller, and the wrapping was oddly thick and grainy. the meat inside was almost flavorless and the soup was just vaguely meaty, and it definitely gave me the Meat Ick. we ate 3/8 but couldn’t get anymore down. after reading other reviews, it seems that they serve 2 different kinds of soup dumplings. the nice ones in the pictures, and then once they run out of those, the cheaper ones that we were unlucky enough to get. the buns were less bad! the textures and composition were perfect, and the fresh ingredients and buns were good, but the sauce was also nearly flavorless☹️ we ate those just fine but were wishing they had more flavor! no disrespect to the owner or the employees, of course! not sure if it was just a bad time to come in since we went around 8 pm, but we were definitely...

My wife discovered Chopstickers a couple of months ago, and we have ordered many times since. I'd never heard of -- let alone tasted -- "bao" before, but OMG... these little pockets of heaven are now a necessity of life!

We love the vegan water-fried bao, which are little savory dumplings filled with a tasty mix of vegetables, which you can top with a dash of spicy oil for an extra kick. I dare you to try to eat just one... they are SO good! The vegan dandan noodles are wonderful, too... the noodles themselves have a wonderful flavor and texture, and the sauce makes the flavors even better.

These are already delicious vegan options, and the proprietor mentioned other veg-forward dishes are in the works; a few months from now, there will likely be a few more menu options without meat or dairy.

Finally, I should mention that Chopstickers is a very economical takeout option, because the serving sizes are generous. Each order of bao represents two meals, and if you order noodles too, you'll get to enjoy this delicious food for a couple of days.

We are so happy we discovered Chopstickers and encourage you to...

After having a previous review of ours (my partner and I) deleted by the owner, I’ve decided to write another.

We ordered the chicken potstickers and the beef noodles. The potstickers had a decent flavor but the flavor of them was incredibly inconsistent and half of the pot stickers were underdone leaving raw chicken inside. The pot stickers were also really watery making for a soggy wrapping. The pot stickers that you get from a grocery store are honestly of a better quality than these. As for the beef noodles, the beef itself seemed to be rather large chunks of pot roast that were unseasoned and over cooked. The broth was nearly flavorless with seasoning that seemed to be nothing more than salt and onion. The veggies included with the noodles left something to be desired (the veggies were bok Chou and corn).

My partner ended up being sick most likely from the raw chicken and my stomach remained upset until the next day.

I spent nearly $30 on subpar food and am honestly disappointed.

Rather than wasting time and money here I’d suggest going to white tree for their chicken katsu, or Sally’s for their beef a...
