My son graduated from college at CSU at Moby Arena this last December. Moby Arena employs a number of lgbtq prejudiced people. A NUMBER of comments were directed his way that were ignorant and hateful. At a place where people are supposed to learn to accept differences. Disgusting.
AND I BLEW IT! I accidentally marked 5 stars when I meant to give 1 STAR, and would go lower if possible. REALLY? In a supposedly institution of higher education? Aren't there enough hate crimes in the world today without CSU staff outright judging, commenting, and laughing? Maybe you should vet your "security staff" a bit better. Your front line staff represents your institution. You embarrassed my son, the graduate, as well as 12 family members , 2 of whom are researching colleges, and dropped CSU immediately due to your uneducated, UNTRAINED, JUDGEMENTAL, and just plain RUDE "security staff" which I put in quotations because they offered NO security and in fact, made members of my family feel uncomfortable and unsafe.
Shame on you CSU. It's 2019. Maybe your "security staff" should be trained...

I felt like I was watching a parody of American culture from the early 90's (minus the flames attached to the back of the basketball backboard, the metal detectors at the entrance, and something called a media time out, which helped make a 40 minute game into a 2 hour experience.) There were cheerleaders, and they smiled a lot, yelling go team go. And people barking at the referee about the quality of his decisions. Some fans taunted the players on the other team even though the game wouldn't have happened without them. (I would have thanked them for making the trip, and shown them around my town.) The music played was loud, to make people feel excited, and straight out of the 80's and 90's. The coaches, it was so adorable, got visibly angry and upset about the ball or where the guys moved around or the direction the referees pointed . It's like they didn't know all of this is just made up; that it's all make believe. It could affect their health, all that yelling and...
ย ย ย Read moreAttended a volleyball game here. The location was clean, the staff was friendly, the rules for entrance (including bag restrictions and food/drink limitations) were clear and easy to follow. The metal detector process was very light hearted and clearly explained. All the pedestrian isles were suitability wide to accommodate wheelchairs or heavy foot traffic. Concession was reasonably diverse: from soft pretzels to Chick-fil-A. Bathrooms were spotless and spacious. With a large number of stalls. Game was good. M.C had trouble with their microphone for a bit, but the Jumbo Tron was good quality and...
