Best service I’ve had in years! A deep and genuine smile, carried professionally but felt like he personally cared, he even took all my menu questions very well and found me the perfect dish, I loved it. Most people get annoyed at my questions, but our waiter wanted to make sure it was perfect for us. He was there right away, and was the second wonderful thing I noticed, after walking in…The outside keeps a great secret inside, leading to a surprisingly exquisite experience! I am very impressed with the decor. It’s such a secret amazing spot. It is my new favorite favorite! The food was MORE than delicious!!! My friend and I tried two different dishes that had very different and both incredible flavors, and were served in very beautiful bowls designed for easy sharing! So I got to taste both. Flavors that build and grow and change in your mouth. Not to mention their drink menu was actually something! Not many drink menus impress me, but this one did. I’m not even much of a drinker but I’m coming back for food AND drinks. They also had great pricing. Felt like 90’s pricing because HERES WHAT WE ORDERED: we were given a free app perfectly sized for two (two large samosas with sauces), plus 2 things of pita bread, plus 2 large entrees with rice, a cherry lasse and tamarind-tequila specialty drink, all for only $50 AFTER 20% TIP!!!!! The rice even had little anise-seeds hiding in it :) made me so happy, to help my digestion and health. Please keep your prices good, we will come back often maybe even once a week or twice a month! We will bring friends in when we can!!

Leaving this review because I'd like a response from the restaurant. I'm not sure where things went wrong in what I'm about to describe, but my time has been wasted, money not returned, I never got my food, and I'm very frustrated.

Ordered $73 worth of food from here on Door Dash tonight. (Some of that $ is the driver tip to be fair). The ETA was roughly an hour, but at the onset, this was no problem. Where the problem comes in is ultimately we never got the food. And as Door Dash support and the driver were non responsive to our outreach around the 1.5 hours of no food mark, I called the restaurant. Rang with no one answering. Tried again after a bit, same story.

Then we notice on Door Dash that the restaurant showed as closed. I've experienced this before where when a restaurant gets overwhelmed, they'll shut down delivery orders. Not sure if that's what has happened here, but I'd certainly like to know. The whole experience showed that our driver was awaiting the order for pickup.

And yes - clearly there's a problem with Door Dash that I don't want to be confused with why I'm leaving this review for the restaurant. I did speak with Door Dash support after much hold time. The problem compounds here as for whatever reason, they could not refund the full amount back to the card used. So I'm certainly asking who is at fault.

So again, I'm out money, never got food, and spent time with customer service - which I'll clearly have more to do. And to make it worse, this was supposed to be a treat for my girlfriends birthday since she had her heart and tastebuds set on...

Edit- I'm sad to be editing my review. I used to love the food at this place, and I'm sure it's still great. Unfortunately, they don't care to serve you if you have dietary needs or preferences, although they claim to be able to make any dish dairy free. There is a specific section on their menu with vegetarian dishes that says can be made vegan upon request. (for an up charge, of course) so a couple nights ago we tried to go in, and order the same meal we have many times, listed first on their list: saag paneer but make it vegan by substituting tofu. Our waiter told us we couldn't order it because "the kitchen will get mad at me if you order that." I'm sorry, what?? He went on to say that they actually cannot make saag vegan, even though it's listed that way. He either did not want to serve us, or the workplace culture here is so toxic that the kitchen staff will punish him for what a customer ordered? Yikes. We left. Although I've loved the food in the past, I probably will not come back now that I know this is yet another restaurant biased against those needing to go dairy free. 😕

Previous review: Delicious food! We missed the buffet but were offered the vegetarian lunch plate instead which came with samosas, a couple different curries, a daal, and naan.
