Avoid this place unless you want expensive, dry, and slow food. I wanted to like it because the options in this area are mostly fast food or not very good, but I doubt I will return.
I went there on Friday night with my wife. We ordered over the phone, and they told us about 15-20 mins. We got our food after 35 mins, even though they were not very busy (while we waited there was never a line). The cashier was not wearing a mask. We ordered a chicken schawarma and a gyro, both came out dry, both the meat and pita, though decently flavorful. We also got fries, but they were sadly very undercooked and limp, and low on flavor though I liked the pepper. I did get a single serving of baklava, which was delicious, tons of honey! Overall the flavors were good, but the rest was definitely not $30+ good.
Update: I came back the next day for a twisted smoothie. I paid $12 for a "punch me" smoothie with extra booze and larger cup. Again I waited about 15 mins and there was nobody in front of us in line. In fact, we stood at the window for 5+ mins before the cashier showed up. This time it was clear that she didn't start making the smoothie for some time after we ordered, despite them having very few customers. I watched the drink being made before it was delivered, which consisted of about 2oz liquor being poured into a cup then the smoothie on top. So, the first sip was all the alcohol, and the rest wasn't even a very good smoothie. Again the cashier was not...
Read moreI really want to give them 4 stars but I can't. This restaurant has been both my favorite and least favorite restaurant in Fort Collins. When I first started eating there about 5 years ago it was god awful. Dry burned chicken and mediocre falafels made me want to never come back. But a friend convinced me to try it again a couple of years later. It was AWESOME. Some of the best Greek food I've had and I've had a lot. The falafels were tender and slightly fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside with a nice spice blend. The gyros improved greatly with fresh hot pita and juicy grilled meats and just the right amount of tahini sauce. So I became a regular.
The drinks there are INSANE. Like 4 shots in one drink, no joke. I like that since I only need one. Very tasty too.
The last couple of times I went it was starting to return to the unpredictable quality I had originally experienced there. My gyro was cold. The time before that it just kinda fell apart as I unwrapped it and the pita was so soggy that I dripped meat juice and tahini sauce all over the bar. BTW they don't give you plates for gyros. You just have to drip it all over the place, or remember to specifically ask for one. The falafels, however, are still the best I've ever had. I would go there just for falafels and drinks if...
Read moreI called to order dinner to be picked up...just four items and a simple and straight-forward order. I emphasized that I wanted my two orders of stuffed grape leaves in two separate containers because in the past they have combined them in one box despite them obviously being for two different people. The guy on the phone acknowledged this and I assumed this would be passed along to the person preparing my order. He told me my order would be ready in 15-20 minutes and I arrived to pick it up at exactly 20 minutes. I paid and the cook, who was sitting in a chair at the bar, looked over at me and said "Your order is almost ready." I had placed my order at 6:08. I finally got my order forty minutes later at 6:50. It was a little annoying getting there after twenty minutes expecting my order to be ready and then standing there waiting for more than another twenty minutes but was really hungry and was happy to finally get my food. Then I got home and for the third time, one order (my dinner) of grape leaves was left out of the bag. So all that waiting and I had nothing for dinner. Awesome. After having this exact thing happen several times, I am not sure I will ever go back. If I do, I will definitely not leave without checking the bag to make sure everything I ordered is...
