Come in pretty regularly for years now, live in the neighborhood …Staff is always changing. Came in tonight on a rare date night occasion dropped about $90 for food/drinks and tipped super well as we work in the industry, but when we were leaving, we politely asked the new manager, Jonathon, what the service fee was and he said it goes to the kitchen. I replied with “so the kitchen gets a percentage of my tequila shot?” Then he said “well is there food on there?” I said no, I’ve already cashed out with the food and tipped 40% and he changed his story to that “the server gets a percentage tip out” then we tried to clarify that the server gets the service charge before the tip, he abrasively changed his answer to “it’s spread throughout the house” and when when we asked “what does that mean?” responded with, “we’re gonna close soon and it’s it time to go.” and made me feel like I NEVER want to come back. I’ve worked in the service industry for 15+ years. I’ve served the owner of fuzzys at Luna’s tacos and tequilas on Mother’s Day and I’ve never been more insulted in my life at a restaurant simply asking a question about the service fee to Jonathon tonight, nor did he have even one interaction with us at all during our hour stay at the restaurant..I’ve worked in restaurants where we did service fees and I was only asking out of curiosity, he made me feel so uncomfortable that I don’t think I can ever go back. Super unfortunate because I love fuzzys. Sam was our bartender and he was great, explained why he rang in things the way he did hence why tipped $40..But we won’t be coming back thanks to Jonathon who seems like a lazy GM who doesn’t do well with customer service. I don’t ever write negative reviews, I typically try to boost up biz but tonight really got to me, as I don’t get out much and Jonathon...
Read moreThe food tasted delicious! However, the customer service was terrible. I work in food service and human resources, so I know what good service should look like. I did not get it last night. So my cousin who I was eating with went up to the kitchen window to pick up our food. They forgot to make my chips and queso with ground beef and no pico. They made it while my cousin stood up there. It had pico on it, so they told the woman who was between the kitchen cooks and customers and they took the pico off. When it got to the table, it was missing the ground beef. I went up and told the woman working expo that it was supposed to have ground beef on it. She asked if I had the receipt, but we didn't. She should've looked at her ticket to see that yes, we paid for chips and queso with ground beef and no pico. Granted, my cousin did not hear that I wanted it with ground beef when I placed the order, but the woman acted like I didn't pay for chips and queso in the first place and was trying to get it for free. I felt very embarrassed in the situation and it was silly that she didn't simply add ground beef to the meal and chose to make a big deal out of it instead. If you order food at any other restaurant, and it comes out incorrectly, they simply take it back and correct it. They don't act like you didn't order the food they give you even if it's not correct. She finally mumbled something under her breath and told the cook at the window to add ground beef to the queso. Needless to say, I won't be returning to the location on Elizabeth because I can't stomach the thought of having another interaction with such a...
Read moreHonestly, I will probably never come back. Horrible service. I walked in, this being my first time, and no one greeted me. I went to an area that looked like a possible place to order, and I was passed by at least three servers and no one stopped to ask if I needed help. I sat down at a table to see if anyone would come wait on me and no one came. I then watched a gentleman walk up to the area I was previously waiting at and ordered, so I went back to order myself. It took another 2-3 minutes of standing there before someone came to help me. I ordered my food and was given an electronic device that would tell me when my food was ready. When it went off, no one told me where I could go get my food. I was never offered or even asked if I would like a drink, even water. I counted only 5 other tables filled at the time, so they were not that busy. Thank God that I had a gift card to use for my meal, otherwise I would have been mad to spend my money here and probably would have left. Definitely do not recommend and probably will never come back and will end up throwing away the remaining balance on...
