Sally’s Kitchen is an Asian restaurant in the Loaf ‘N Jug convenience store and gas station on S Timberline Road, just off E Harmony Rd, in Fort Collins, Colorado. Orders are taken by phone or at the counter, and diners can eat in the spartan no-frills dining room, or take their food to go. Sally’s serves authentic Chinese food, and the food is consistently good. The Mongolian Beef, Teriyaki Chicken with vegetables, General Tso’s Chicken, and Fried Rice with ginger and avocado, are outstanding. The chef forgot that chicken is a key ingredient in a recent order of Spicy Garlic Chicken, which was a major disappointment. Otherwise, the food is good. Where Sally’s Kitchen falls short is in their abysmal and non-existent customer service. I have placed three phone orders for takeout over the last two months. The first order and visit was problem free. The food wasn’t ready at the time promised on my second visit, and the food order took over two hours to prepare the third time I placed a phone order, which is wholly unacceptable. The person who took the order for my third visit said it would be an hour before the food would be ready. After arriving at Sally’s sixty minutes after placing the order and being told the food wasn’t ready, we were forced to wait another seventy plus minutes before the food was prepared and ready to take home. Sally’s Kitchen failed to communicate they were overwhelmed and having problems in the kitchen and offered no apologies for the interminable wait. They made no effort whatsoever to make a new customer happy. When I expressed my disappointment to the owner, my comment was met with a shrug. While the food at Sally’s Kitchen is terrific, the customer service is not, so I cannot recommend that anyone try this place out. I’ll be going elsewhere for Chinese food in Fort Collins.

We’ve ordered takeout many times and always enjoyed it. Unfortunately tonight there was something seriously wrong with our lemon scallops. I know, I know, seafood from a gas station restaurant....... but the scallops have always been delicious before. The real problem though, is their customer service. When I called to let them know, (assuming they would either refund my card or credit my next order which would be fine and not deter me from returning) she was insistent that I return the scallops so they can figure out what’s wrong. I told her that I was not driving anywhere else tonight but I would put it in the fridge and return it tomorrow if she wanted. She declined and said if I don’t return it right away she can offer me a 1/2 price sesame chicken next time. Sorry, but if you are serving rotten food, I shouldn’t have to pay for half of it. She kept saying that no one has ever complained about the scallops so they don’t know what’s wrong and they really want to figure out what’s wrong. I kept suggesting that they cook a couple to try themselves and it would be very obvious that something is wrong. After MUCH debate it was agreed upon that next time I order I will receive a different replacement entree, because she really needed to get off the phone with me to take other orders. And she told me 4-5 times that I am not to order the scallops when I come back! That they lose money on the scallops and do not order scallops again!

Ordered delivery last night on the recommendation of family. We were not disappointed. The food is truly special. We had a large wonton, steamed dumplings, spring rolls, calamari in spicy garlic sauce, and a dish called "something different" with beef. Salted just right. The calamari was thick-cut and oh so tender and easy to eat. The soup was perfect - the wonton's were firm, and not falling apart from being over cooked. This will be our new go-to Asian food restaurant. Calling to order takes patience. Even on a Monday night the phone rang busy for 15 minutes. Finally got through at about 5:30. Was told that the order would take an hour for delivery, which was ok, but is only took 30 minutes. There's a $3 delivery charge if you're more than a mile away, but we were also ok with that.

Unfortunately the lady at the front desk is the rudest woman I have seen out working in the real world. I have never regretted giving my money to the wrong place this much in my life. The lady at the front was yelling at a woman when I got there because she was having trouble with the menu. She was super annoyed at her. I sympathized because i was having a similar issue. When it was my turn I handed back the incorrect dish they prepared. I said I would like another dish made with what I ordered or I would like a refund. Gave them the opp to make it right and she laughed at me. The woman said no. Then started yelling at me too!! Like loud enough that the gas station patrons were looking over too. When I tried to show her the picture on my phone she aggressively blocked it with her hand. I finally got the husband that works in the kitchen to look and when I did that she came over like a bat out of hell and tried to rip my phone out of my hand. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EXPERIENCED EVVVEERRRR. This place does not have morals or manners and the food is not even good quality. I should have gone to Panda express like usual. I will unfortunately be reporting them to the better business bureau because I don't reward bad behavior. THIS is unacceptable behavior. She acts like that because she is the owner. I'd put a lot of money on the line saying that I am not the only customer that came here once and never came back. WOW!! I used to run a small business I wanted to root for them. Not like this though. She didn't even care that she had customers sitting there eating. I am shocked. To anyone reading this peace, and, love, and DO NOT COME HERE. Sincerely, a guy that has your back and doesn't want you to waste your money, time, energy, or mood on this place. You get the same amount of food at panda for 2 dollars more. hint hint My comment gets erased daily so I'll be back to post this back up...

So my Mom really enjoys their “Something Different” but changes it up a bit. The night we ordered her dinner we had softball, which comes into the story in a bit, so we picked up her dinner brought it home and it turns out to be wrong, well we have no time to bring it back so we called and spoke with the young man that took our order, after explaining what was wrong with it, and told him we would bring it back the next day to show them what was wrong, he tells me that next time it will be free and to just let them know when I come in. So I order the same thing again and I go to pick it up and the lady that always takes your order and I am pretty sure she’s the owner charges me and I tell her about what that young man said and she’s like oh no no no no never no that ain’t right and then again tells me how much I owe, so I’m trying to explain what the young man told us, that the next time we come in it would be free, but she’s still telling me No that we were never told anything like that. She should have handled this in a different way not just telling me No, she should have told me “ I will talk to my employee and get back with you”but nope that’s not how she handled that, she just told me No and that was that! I think she is a very rude person and I am pretty sure she thinks we’re out to just get a free meal, that’s not the case! Everytime I order something from there it ranges from $20-$25, that’s money I don’t have just to throw away.So I will never go there again. And this is for the guy that was behind me, listening to my conversation with her and not knowing the whole story behind everything, pipes up, and tells me to quit trying to get a free meal, and to quit holding up the line, so to you Mr. Should Mind Your Own Business because you don’t know what’s going on, stay out of other people’s conversations! So to you Sally’s Kitchen adios!!! I give Sally’s Kitchen a zero for...
