Tecate grill — Restaurant in Fort Collins

We were brought to this restaurant by a few friend because they said they had amazing service, drinks and food. Unfortunately that was not the case for our experience. We had called ahead and made a reservation for four people. When we arrived no one had written it down in the book, so the bartender said he would just take us as a table. Terrible idea, he took our drink orders right aways which was great, but then it took 10 mins just to get chips and salsa. He came back 15mins later and the water had not even come yet. So he went to go get some, another 5mins to come back with enough water for only two out of the four of us. So our waiter left again to go get more water. Another 5 minutes for us all to finnally all just have water. I Believe a man who was the manager came over and took our empty chip bowl. We are now at 30mins and our orders are just now being taken, we still don't even have our drinks that we ordered 30mins ago. We watched the table sat behind us also get fed up with there service and just leave. We waited alittle longer with no drinks still, no refill on chips as we had asked for when he brought us the first attempt at water. We decided to just cancel our order and leave. We were so disappointed in our experience. I understand that they forgot to write down our reservation, but it would have been better if they would have just said that and told us there were acouple tables finishing up and we would get seated with and actually waiter as soon as they could bus the tables. When acouple booths opened up 5mins after we were seated in the back corner. So we could of had actual service instead of the bartender trying to bar tend and forgetting/ getting too busy to be able to...

I had a terrible experience with take out from Tecate Grill today. It started with placing the order through the website and receiving an email saying that my order was not placed and that I would be receiving a refund. Call the restaurant to verify my order was not placed, I was put on hold and after waiting for a few minutes the call ended without anyone returning to the phone. I called back 10 minutes later, the person said that my order was placed and that my food was being made. I asked when it would be done and they said 10-15 minutes. I showed up 15 minutes later and was told the order was still in progress. I wait for another 10 minutes. Finally the kitchen staff grabbed the only person working front of house, they come back from the kitchen and grab a bag from a shelf that had been sitting there the entire time I had been waiting. Server had to check the order and finally gave me my food. I got home and the food was cold and soggy and they didn’t give me the side of green chile I ordered and paid for, nor did they put another sauce on the side as requested in the instructions. Omg PLEASE hire better wait staff or train them at least! You are losing customers! The manager does a great job, if only he would impart those skills into his staff! I would really love to come in but I will not tolerate the wait staff any longer.

I kept giving this place a chance because it's the only Mexican food in the area but I've had it. Their service is terrible, servers will often leave you for long periods of time in between checking on you and won't catch simple things like needing more chips and salsa. Food items are also commonly forgotten and orders taken wrong. I spilled an entire drink and no one offered to help clean up the mess, and it was enough of a mess to need a mop, we asked for towels, were brought napkins, and then were left with a sopping mess under the table. The thing that gets me though is the server didn't even ask if I wanted another drink. I don't even care if I had to pay for another one, I just can't believe she didn't even ask.
