Subzero Ice Cream — Restaurant in Fort Collins

i came here today for the first time with my husband and we both had a seasonal ice cream flavor (i had cotton candy with marshmallows and pop rocks) and really enjoyed it. i’ve never had liquid nitrogen ice cream before and was pleasantly surprised by how creamy it was! their waffle cones were thin and fluffy and didn’t have too much of a cinnamon flavor like some waffle cones do.

i missed his name but the young man running the shop by himself did a great job! there were no other customers at the time we were in so we were chatting with him a bit and he was really nice.

Just visited here after discovering them off of a coupon app with CSU. Me and my partner thought we'd stop by for something new, and we couldn't be happier we did! The staff is friendly right away, greeting us and asking if we've been there before. They'll go through with you the options and how it works. They even have a "surprise" option for flavoring. I loved the citric flavoring since I love fruits and citrus. So delicious! We forgot to use our coupon but we'll for sure be back with the 'excuse' to use it....

The nitrogen freezing is a cool show, and the person helping us was nice and explained everything well. The ice cream, though, was just okay. All the colors were really bright, and the flavors were mostly just super sweet without much else going on. We all picked different things, and they all tasted kind of the same – sweet. The nitrogen thing was neat (if a bit loud) but made us wait a while, and the ice cream wasn't anything special flavor-wise. Hopefully, they'll get some more natural-tasting options...
