San Rose Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Fort Collins

San Rose is one of Fort Collins’ hidden gems. This little Mexican restaurant on Elizabeth is truly something special. I go in all the time, and it just keeps getting better every time. The food is incredible every time — from the fresh chips to the insanely good bean dip, every bite tastes homemade and full of love.

It was the rose-shaped coasters that sparked a conversation — and that’s when I found out Araceli, the owner, recently took over the place (formerly Tecate). She and her husband Randall run it with the help of their family — cousins, brothers & sisters, even some locals jumping in to help on busy nights like Cinco de Mayo. You can feel that community vibe the second you walk in.

Araceli is pouring her heart into San Rose, and it shows in the food, the energy, and the way this spot continues to grow. If you’re in Fort Collins and want to support a genuine, local, family-run restaurant — this is it. 100% go check them out....

Did a door dash they handed me food and I asked is this everything since it was a steel pack and they said yes twice. I drove this order 30 minutes away, dropped it off at the customer. Then I got a call from the customer saying that something was missing. I told him I picked up a bag and they said that was everything. The customer then called the restaurant that said that I just grabbed a bag and left and I forgot about it not them. Also this restaurant told a customer that I need to go back and take another hour out of my doing door dash because it's my fault my not theirs. Don't know if it's a comprehension issue or what but don't get free orders from them because they're going to get it wrong...

Best Mexican food place in FoCo by far. Wish I could tie this place up and drag it to my home town. Food was so so so soooo good! And their portions are huge, so bring your appetite. Their Service was amazing, prompt, and accurate. The employees were very kind, accommodating, and very visually appealing. The atmosphere itself was very pleasant. Nice intimate, date night feel but with enough energy for a good get together destination as well. Looks like a great place to catch a few sporting games and drink your sorrows...
