Honestly, I don't love leaving a poor review, but after patronizing this location for almost 4 years only because of convenience, I've seen it all & my most recent experience was the breaking point.
My review of this location isn't reflective of all of the employees, though I feel like there are only a couple of individuals who are so very valued & kind. They know who they are & I'm grateful to them.
In my experience the coffee here is mediocre at best. As a longtime patron of Starbucks in general, the employees here don't seem to place allegiance into the quality of their products, it's just a job. Look, I get it. It's tough slinging coffees to people with different tastes all day long, but they chose this job which also accompanies customer service skills & a bit of integrity when delivering expensive coffee.
So I frequent about three different Starbucks throughout Fort Collins depending on where my work takes me, & as someone who has ordered the same drink for years, I know what it should taste like & do. Do, meaning, I order espresso for the kick of energy it gives.
A few months ago I started to notice that I would plow through my drink in seconds & not really feel much at all. So one Tuesday evening one of the amazing employees was there & when I received my coffee (usually 3-4 shots of espresso with or without whip), it looked like a teaspoon of coffee for $3.73. I mean I literally only had the espresso, so I spoke up asking if it was a triple. The nice employee said that their machines had been pulling less water lately, did I want another shot. So, while I appreciate the extra shot, I started to put the pieces together & realized why my coffee at this location highly differed from any other Starbucks.
You know what?! This coffee is one of my simple daily luxuries that I personally love. I work very hard for income, so to realize that this location has been shorting me coffee, quality (because anytime I do get whip here it looks like goose droppings & is just ooze), & I think that it's happening because of the tip button when you use their charge. Many an employee has made a huge deal about the tip button. I'm not cheap, obviously because I go to Starbucks even after the massive inflation, but I don't feel as though handing me a coffee that's so expensive to begin with requires a tip when the majority of employees are very quick to rush you through the drive through & they've been shorting what I'm paying for, for a long time!!!
All in all, I'm driving out of my way on the days I'd go here so that I can never...
Read moreThis Starbucks is my home away from home!! This location puts the other ones to shame. Truly, I can't express how wonderful the staff is, and how they often put a smile on my face on the toughest of days! Morgan and Emily are superstars and always go above and beyond to make sure I'm well taken care of. I feel like we would be friends outside of Starbucks because that is how genuine they are. I usually get a Venti Iced Chai with a shot or a Venti Caramel Macchiato with cold foam. Whatever I get, its always made right and in a timely manner. I usually go in to work on stuff on my laptop, but when I need to hit the drive through for a quick coffee they always have my back. 5 mins tops to get through the drive through. The only other drive thru location in town (College and Stover) is a drive-thru nightmare and a minimum of 15-20 minutes to get through the line, especially since COVID. I would gladly drive to this location if I lived elsewhere, but it happens to be in my neighborhood which is even better. So glad I discovered this location and has been a regular spot for me. I feel they're doing the best job they could possibly be doing with COVID safety precautions. From the bottom of my heart, thanks for...
Read moreI never take the time to write a complaint about someone but today is that day. I went through the drive thru at store 23170 on 7/8/24 and had such a negative experience. I ordered 2 drinks. I came to the window and asked if I could use 2 different apps to redeem stars. At first, the young man in training, said I think we can but asked a fellow employee to make sure. That’s where Lottie comes in and says with already an attitude, that we cannot. That’s fine, I asked to split the order to make it easier and Lottie proceeds to make a nasty face as it came off as an inconvenience to do so. This was all done in front of me and my boyfriend who are customers. When I asked the kid at the window to give me her name, she came to the window, I confronted her about her behavior and she proceeded to say that the young man is learning and it was a teaching moment. If expressing to do nasty faces in front of customers, is a teaching moment, she shouldn’t be as a face of Starbucks. She’s corrupting a trainee already with her negative demeanor. Lottie has reddish hair, wore it up in a beige or cream clip, and was wearing a black t shirt and khaki/Carhart...
