Well, first thing is if you are going to visit this location, the only way to get in to pick up an order is through the back entrance. It would have been nice to have signs in the front that direct you to the back. The dining room is not yet opened. I placed my order and asked for a pick up time of 11:45. I was there at 11:45 and live a 5 minute drive from the restaurant. I got to tell you I must be missing something about this place. First off, the french fries (which look more like apple slices than french fries) were disgusting!! They were cold and tasted like they were cooked in dirty grease. I had a sandwich made with tenders, which was ok, but nothing special. I don't like eating a sandwich made with tenders, but that was the best option for me. The Caine sauce, which I'm assuming is suppose to imitate Cane's sauce, isn't even close the delicious Cane's sauce served at their competitor. The other meal I purchased was 2 -piece chicken tender meal which again was ok, but nothing to write home about. These 2 meals without a tip or drink cost me $28.00. Way too pricey for 2 meals that were just average. I can across the street and get a chicken sandwich (made with a whole breaded chicken breast), great fries and a drink for about half the price. I tried the south store when it first opened and wasn't impressed then and never went back. I thought I would give the new store a try with it being so close to where I live, but again, not impressed. The only great thing about my meal was that the Nashville Hot brought the heat. I won't be visiting this restaurant again, but was hoping for a great chicken restaurant in this part of town. This location hasn't been successful since it's inception. Godspeed Music...

At this point, Music City Hot Chicken is less a restaurant and more a religion — and I’m a devout worshipper at the altar of crispy, juicy, fiery perfection.
Every bite is a full-blown flavor concert. The chicken tendies? Always hits the high notes — crunchy, tender, perfectly seasoned, and spicy enough to make you sweat and sing. Whether you’re in the mood for a mild groove or a face-melting guitar solo of heat, they’ve got a level for every spice fan. Try the wedgie with tendies. Chef’s kiss. 😘
And the specials? Straight-up headliners. One week you’re vibing with some amazing duck wings, the next you’re falling in love with a banging chicken thigh lunch sando special. They’re never afraid to get experimental, and it always slaps. I love the rotating sides too! Nom, nom, nom.
Let’s talk drinks: their cocktails are top-chart hits. My go to drink is are the margaritas and cherry limeade that cool you down after a spicy crescendo, and all the best local brews on tap!
And the atmosphere? Chef’s kiss. Locally owned, queer-welcoming, and full of the kind of good energy that makes you wanna stay for the encore. The staff knows their regulars, makes you feel like part of the band, and always keeps the vibe on beat.
Bottom line: Music City Hot Chicken isn’t just a meal — it’s a whole show. And I’ll be front...
Read moreMCHC has been a favorite of mine for years in FOCO, so I was excited to see a north location open up that's closer to me than the south location. The place is clean, inviting, and has a good atmosphere. Every single thing I've ever gotten from either location, has been high quality and delicious. Being from the south, I can also say that the catfish sandwich exclusive to this north location's menu is fantastic too. You won't regret going to MCHC.
However, there's a bigger issue at hand here. They made wings by the dozen for the super bowl and these were the best wings I've had in FOCO hands down, and go toe-to-toe with the other best wings I've ever had in my life. Only two flavors were offered, but the taste of both were amazing, and the quality/size of the wings were unmatched compared to every other FOCO wing I've had. So what's the issue? That this was a limited time item. I plead with the good people of MCHC to make the unagi and buffalo wings a main menu item, or at least offer these wings by the dozen more often. I'm not asking to you become a wing place with a dozen different flavors and heat levels, but I'm asking, for the good of the community, that you put these same quality/size/taste of wings on the menu full time. The ball is...
