Please see update at the end
Had a coupon for "Buy one get one... " The coupon specifically names two locations in Ft Collins and additionally states "and 14 other Fort Collins locations". So, we went to this Subway, its is a Fort Collins location and in fact Google does not even show 14 locations in Fort Collins, so one must assume that it is covered by the copuon.
The coupon expires 8/15/2017
We ordered our TWO sandwiches and when we arrived at the cash register the cashier told us that she could not accept the coupon and had been "chewed out" last time her manager, Shawna, had found one. She stated that they were valid, just not for her store.
I do find it concerning that a manager would "chew out" a cashier for taking a clearly valid coupon.
I asked for Shawna and was told she was not there. I asked that Shawna call me and was told that she would not. I asked for Shawna's number so I could call her. She refused to do that.
The fact is that this store is benefiting from the coupons that Subway is printing. We went because of the coupon and then they are not recognizing them. How can anyone see this as anything other than "Bait and Switch" at its worst.
This subway is clearly one of the "14 other locations", they benefit from the coupon and do not honor it. Then, when it is questioned they refuse to provide a manager.
update
I brought my review to the attention of Subway corporate and the seemed to get some action. I received a very professional phone call from Becky who agreed that the manager was 100% wrong and had not followed policy. She stated that she would ensure that ALL staff were appropriately trained and would take appropriate action with the manager.
We visited the store again. Apparently all new staff. Good! They did honor the coupon although they had a lot of difficulty in working out how to enter it into the register. So, there is still some need for training.
We will try again soon, and will probably upgrade the rating.
Also, Becky asked for my address and said she would be sending me a "loaded subway card", so I look forward to seeing that soon.
Eventually I did receive the card from a Becky Woodard, who signs herself as an owner. Wow! The letter was full of errors and had it been written by a fifth grader we would have marked it down. She basically told me that she knew that Shanna was a problem but that she had increased profit and this was most important to her.
I would suggest that the best way to increase profits is t have happy customers.
And, by the way, the "loaded card" had a whopping $20, that less than the cost of the two sandwiches that we ordered, twice.
I'm pleased to say that corporate took this much more seriously than did Ms Woodard. They sent me a significantly more substantially loaded card too.
Finally, I do want to add that the store in question continues to make great sandwiches and the staff have eventually worked out how to enter the coupons.
I would urge everyone to use the coupons. You can find them on the web for free, just search for Subway, Coupons and Fort Collins.
Bottom line is, the owners, Ms Woodard claims to be one of them, have made it clear that they do not train well, do not support their staff and place cutting food cost above all else. The fact that Shanna is still apparently there, despite bullying her staff and abusing customers tells...

I walked in and waited for someone to come out of the back for almost a solid five minutes. I looked at the clock and am sure this timeframe is accurate. When the woman (she had a name tag that said Priscilla that was pinned to her hat) walked up to the front, she was busy typing away on her phone. She acted irritated that she had to take my order. I saw her wash her hands as she began to make my sandwich but midway through (while it was being toasted) she picked up her phone and started playing with it again. Then she retreated to the back and didn’t come back out front for another 3 minutes (despite the buzzer going off from the toaster). I observed that she was still wearing the same gloves that were now contaminated from touching multiple surfaces including the phone that she didn’t want to put down for the short period of time it takes to make and complete a sandwich order. She never removed or replaced the gloves nor did she rewash her hands. I also observed her touching her face with these same gloves on. Apparently, the health department needs to train Subway employees on basic hygiene and sanitary practices. How does a grown adult not understand that washing your hands or wearing gloves does no good if you’re just going to touch your face and/or pick up a dirty phone and play with it while you’re preparing a customer’s lunch? She also made the sandwich with the least amount of vegetables (3 olives and 3 tomatoes on a footlong?) to where the sandwich had the least amount of “toppings” for it to even be called a sandwich. It contained no meat as I ordered a vegetarian and the veggie to bread ratio was skimpy, at best. I wouldn’t have cared so much about her unfriendly demeanor had she practiced basic hygiene and made a tasty meal for me. I ended up throwing it away due to how grossed out I was. I wish I had said something but I shy away from confrontation and didn’t want to be accused of being a “Karen” by asking her to remake my sandwich with clean hands. I shouldn’t have to. Nor should I have to tell a “sandwich artist” to actually put some vegetables on a veggie sandwich. I will not be...
Read moreWent in with my grandparents last week and one dark haired young woman working was unbelievably short and rude to them, my grandfather in particular, to the point where he got so flustered that I just had to order for him. My grandfather is in the early stages of dementia and was just trying to decide on what to put on a sandwich. In his defense Subway does have an overwhelming amount of choices. I was seriously appalled and upset over how rude and snappy the girl was, even her co workers seemed slightly taken aback. We were the only ones there so it wasn't as if there were any customers waiting. If It wouldn't have embarrassed my grandparents even further I absolutely would have made an effort to get her name and inform her managers. Seriously what happened to respect for your elders? He was clearly just confused and needing a bit more time to think and decide but she just kept harping on him, huffing and rolling her eyes, practically drumming her nails at him. No- whoever you are, he may not know what kind of cheeses you're talking about but he sure as hell can pick up on your tone and attitude and it doesn't help him one bit. He knows he's slipping and its terrifying for him, is it really so hard to take an extra few minutes with a customer? How on earth do you get hired for customer service with that type...
