My wife loves Olive Garden! She loves their Alfredo. I asked her tonight to pick some where to go out on a date and she chose here. Well sadly this place has just gone downhill the last few times we've been here. Last time we came we asked for 2 Alfredo's with our appetizer and instead we got charged $5.99 for a big side of Alfredo. We just wanted to switch the marinara it came with for Alfredo. This time was nothing but problems. First my wife was served the wrong tea. Than we again asked for 2 Alfredo's but got Alfredo and marinara instead. Than I ordered spaghetti with meatballs and Alfredo. I got meat sauce instead. I wasn't going to complain but I finally decided it was enough mistakes and did. Got asked if it was ok if I kept the meatballs and I said I'm hungry so I'm already eating them. Funny you don't just bring me new meatballs didn't realize that was such a thing. Finally the right food came out way later. but I was mainly full at this point off breadsticks and just hunger going away. We got to go boxes which for some reason took forever to get to us. Than this lady takes our tablet and tries to skip passed the itemized part and just says "there you go you can pay" and runs off. I of course go back to see what she was hiding and see we were charged for our take ones (they current have the deal of buy one take one aka buy one get one free for home) I mention it and she says "o I didn't charge you for you're specialty refills which are $4 each and you got a lot so just saving you money".... we come here... or should I say used to come here often. It's free refills. "O well what do you want me to do I'm just saving you money".... I was baffled how..... anyways finally got it fixed and I got annoyed enough to I just let my wife wait on the entree I ordered to go and I went to the car. Well a long time later my wife finally comes out and tells me this lady tried to say I didn't pay for the other entree. Luckily we printed a receipt and she showed her how we did. Might be because we didn't tip as who tips for this kind of service?
We will not be returning. Which my wife is sad about since she loves the Olive Garden Alfredo so much. But this is just ridiculous.
It was not just us as well. We were literally sandwiched in a set of 3 booths that were complaining. Not 100% sure about the booth behind us problem was sounded like a waiting problem. But the one in front of us was talking about how messed up their total was. How stuff was added that wasn't what they ordered.
Slow horrible service! I tried to be nice and give the benefit of the doubt on a few things. But it just added up to where I just had to walk out before I did anything. I was close to just taking my wife and leaving our food behind. This...
Read moreThis is an edit to my original review. I'm leaving the first one so others can see how Olive Garden, both corporate and the GM, want to work with you to make things better.
My husband and I went back for lunch. Our waiter was an amazing person named Avery. Although he was busy with the lunch rush, he made sure to stop at each of his tables to make sure the food was done right. Both of our drinks were refilled in a timely manner and the food had flavor. I also got to enjoy the salad, without someone trying to run off with it.
The night I wrote the first review about was unacceptable, but Olive Garden did what they could to make it better.
I could understand if we came in 20 minutes before closing time, but we were the at least 3 hours before. Most of the time when a waiter comes to your table, they at least say hi. This one didn't, just asked what we wanted to drink and left. He came back, dropped off our water and took our order.
Two scoops into the salad bowl, he tries to take it after dropping off the main course. That's when we finally got some stale, warm, tasteless breadsticks. He wanders off, only checks up on us by asking if the food was good while he was speeding walking past us, so we had no time to answer or ask for anything. When he finally comes back, he refills my husband's water glass, but not mine, then vanishes. When the salad bowl was finally empty, he repos it without asking if we want anymore salad since it's 'unlimited' and doesn't ask if we would like anymore breadsticks either. Finally, when he comes back the final time, he drops off 1 small to-go box for two people with leftovers. We never see him again.
If he would have stopped for 2 minutes, then I could have mentioned my shrimp scampi with angel hair pasta (my favorite) was dry. No sauce to be found. It would have been nice to have some more water as well.
Happy Anniversary to...
Read moreFood wasn't served hot. I believe there must've been a problem with their oven or who know what? The soup tasted good but it was warm as if it was sitting out for a while, the bread sticks were also almost cold and kind of hard to chew. So I mentioned it to our waitress, she brought me a second plate of soup and it was hot but the new batch of bread was still kind of hard. So for the entries, we ordered chicken Alfredo and your of Italy. My Alfredo was warm enough but dry. The lasagna was almost barely warm in the middle so we asked the waitress if it could be warm up. Well she couldn't take the plate back to warm it up but she offered to bring another lasagna. It took some time to serve us a new one, so by the time we got it, we were getting full with bread sticks, salad and the rest of the food. Although, the waitress seemed to be helpful, she literally brought us the new lasagna saying that she made sure it was very hot this time. I had some mix feelings about the sarcastic comment, because the plate and lasagna were literally extremely hot. it felt as if we were just being annoying to her, so of course my daughter almost burned her mouth taking a bite of the lasagna, which she was craving for that night. So we just decided to just take it to go.
I'm sure if other people noticed the food temperature or not, but we did. Our waitress didn't really seemed to be interested in finding out if there was something wrong in the kitchen. Neither she cared to give us a bag to put out take out food (5+dessert). I still left a tip, though I kinda regret it because I don't think I should praise mediocre service. But I did it for my girls who care so much about waitresses.
I like Olive Garden, but I'm not sure if I'll go back to...
