I don't write reviews hardly ever, anymore unless I truly believe in a place and want it to do more than succeed but thrive. What matters to me at this point in life isn't just their food or people but their overall ethos.
And Liminal is it.
10/10, Five Stars, S-tier.
I'm so in love with what they're doing and hope they have all of the success. Anyone and everyone here should go above and beyond a Google review and just blast all of their friends with the praise, like I have. :)
The People: The staff absolutely amazing and PASSIONATE about what they're doing. They're friendly, happy to be doing what they love and dedicated.
The Food: Absolutely astonishing and makes me wonder why no-one else is GETTING IT THIS RIGHT. It's heaping servings of delicious ingredients -- filling your bowl to nearly the BRIM. With incredible flavor, great contrasting texture and healthy house-made recipes.
The Ethos: Their 200 year ethos (that they have to sway from on certain things, understandably) means you're not getting preservatives, seed oils or any other kind of artificiality. They also strive to price things very competitively and at market pricing -- meaning if you ask them to remove something from your dish, they actually reduce your pricing.
They also strive to keep things competitively priced to other, comparable places - think any of the salad or bowl places around.
BONUS POINTS for the ambience. It's a take out only place, but their overall design language, chill music and overall welcoming atmosphere are so freaking amazing.
I'll happily admit I've dined at Liminal more than a handful of times in the recent weeks and will equally share I'm picking up another bowl from there tonight, for dinner. It's that good and wholesome.
Go there, try their elixirs (drinks), get an incredible value re: food and get some of their delicious cloud rice (rice pudding dessert).
The world needs more equitable and wholesome food places that don't break the bank. The world...
Read moreLiminal exceeded my expectations!! My boyfriend and I ordered the spicy sesame bowl and the date chicken salad. Both bowls were full the brim with fresh, stunningly colorful, nutritious ingredients! The flavor profiles were so different and delicious than anything I’ve had around Fort Collins. AND there was actually a large portion of protein in each dish, which is something I also struggle to find in other take out spots.
After talking to the chef I found out that literally everything is made from scratch in-house. Also, the open kitchen concept is so cool. Seeing how clean and mindful their operation is was such a unique experience.
For drinks I got The Pump, a DELICIOUS pumpkin latte with oatmilk cold foam and 20 g of plant based protein!?! Had it after my workout and was so happy with my choice. My partner had the nitro cold brew and it was the best he’s had in town.
Run, don’t walk. The prices are insanely low and competitive for flavorful, whole, nutritional ingredients. Plan on going back to try all the different bowls, salads...
Read moreWow! Not too often does a new concept restaurant hit FoCo, and be executed so flawlessly. Everything is on point.
The food is very healthy, and the whole menu is customizable. All the ingredients are high quality. And many sourced locally.
The price is also very good and affordable. Forget about any fast food places when this exists.
The staff (Stewart especially) were all very nice. He seemed genuinely extremely excited and grateful about his business. His passion was on full display and obvious.
I will be going back and would recommend anyone to go there.
I'm excited for the new menu items that the chefs are working on . Specifically some healthy vegetarian friendly Mexican food entrees.
One idea I had, and I don't know if the business would like this or not, but to try doing a "local, fresh, meal prep service". Something in the vein of Factor meal kits, but local and so much better quality.
Anyways, I'm excited for Liminal's future, and look forward to coming...
