I often go to a neighboring business because it’s a much better choice than here. Any time we are there, people overflow to the outside space, which until today I assumed was a shared, open area. I assumed this because I have never once had an issue (we have been going for over a year) when sitting out there with drinks from next door. Today, the Panthers were playing a game and it was pretty busy. We noticed an open table and sat down with our drinks from next door, as usual. After a couple of minutes a server came over and asked what we were doing, and because we didn’t think there was an issue, we simply said we were watching the game. She then walked away, so we even more assumed everything was fine. Then around 20 minutes later, she came with menus and said her manager told us we had to order to be able to sit there. Obviously we were slightly annoyed and confused because we had never ran into this before, but we said “okay” and took a menu. We then waited over 15 minutes for the server to come back to take our order. Instead, the manager came back with a new group of customers and started to say “I’m sorry but I am going to ask you to leave the table,” and I quickly went “actually we have been waiting to order.” The manager then got very rude and said the server told her we said we wouldn’t eat. We quickly clarified that we said we would and had been waiting a while for a server to come. One of us had ordered food from a place next door, but as a vegan, my only option was actually the vegan cheese here so it worked out anyway. The manager then snarked that “it’s kind of weird… coming here with someone else’s food and drinks then claiming you want to order.” After that I then repeated we wanted to order because only one of us had food. She then looked at the other customers she brought over to witness this (!!!????!!) and said “well this is kind of awkward.” Like?? Whose fault is that? You’re the unprofessional manager who decided to bring over a new group of customers to watch you try to kick out an old group! That is absolutely baffling!! Anyway, they went away and the server finally took our order. We then got plates and nothing else, while looking at her repeatedly go to the table next to us to give napkins, silverware, and water. We watched her check on and help the tables next to us with nothing to us. It was some of the worst service we have ever experienced and definitely out of spite, very unprofessional and petty for someone working in service. The pizza was fine, but we were extremely disappointed in the service. We have never had an issue sitting out there and it was clearly only important because it was busy and they wanted to squeeze money out of anyone they could. We really did not have an issue with it though until the manager and server were so rude. Can’t recommend this place!
edit: the owner can’t read as I said only one person ordered food but myself as a vegan didn’t have any food!! also, we never declined to order (we actually said “okay” once she gave us menus) and the server (astrid, btw) never even informed us that we would get displaced. she gave us the menus and never came back to take our order until it was the manager with new customers. still does not excuse the unprofessionalism of bringing new customers to try and kick out old ones.. also continuously unprofessional to try and lie in the review response to CYA. never...
Read moreWhere do I start ? when we first arriving You really don't know where to park, which is important, being that they love to tow cars in Fort Lauderdale. there wasn't any hostess or any server seating anyone. So I went to the bar because it was literally empty. The bartender jue was taking his time getting to us, we were sitting there for about 10 minutes or so but there was other customers sitting at the bar mindyou I can see he had an agitated look on his face When approaching he didn't say anything mean. I'm not much of a a drinker so when he asked me what I wanted to drink I was a little undecided so when I asked him to make me a Rum and pineapple drink which by the way sucked, he asked me what type of rum white rum dark rum and he got sassy with it . then finally I ordered my drink that took for ever, when we finished our drinks I literally had to wait for 15 minutes until he came back to serve me another drink also ordered the Hawaiian pizza which also took forever.i never said spicy i said Hawaiian. It really took a long time before he even came back to check up on us my aunt literally had to get up and go speak to him and ask him where our pizza was finally the pizza comes out upon the first bite I noticed that it's spicy which agin it's okay cuz I'm into spicy foods. So I never mentioned anything to the guy but when I ate the last slice I can tell there was something fishy with it because it was super over spiced as if they almost as if they threw more chili powder in there than usual i mean it was bad.I don't know if this was done out of spite, but it was definitely out of control spicy, which actually hurt my stomach And my tongue went numb. I literally never had something that spicy. When we asked the bartender to speak to the manager, he got really pissed off through the pizza, trey the sink, and stormed off to get her. When Maggie cut to the table, we went outside and spoke. She did comp four drinks and a small pizza. I told her I was going to write a review, and she offered me a gift card to come back again I said no not worth it. I did not accept it. I really never go out, and to have to go that experience I rather have stayed home ordered dominos and a bottle of Ciroc. I will definitely look at the reviews next time I go to any place.man, what a...
Read moreThanks to the guys at 27 Bar, we found the Patio Bar and Pizza. We went to continue partying after seeing Tab Benoit at The Parker but my friends were in need of food. And even though there were excellent drinks, service, and a live band at 27 Bar, they no longer served food. The bartenders recommended that we check out the place across the street. So we decided to check out the recently opened Patio Bar and it was a party all over again. There is a shared courtyard for the businesses within the large building. However, the Patio Bar also has an outdoor bar in the courtyard, in case you don't feel like walking inside. There was lively music playing, loud enough to create the vibe but not to the point where you couldn't have a conversation. There is ample seating inside and out, boasting a fireplace in the courtyard as well. We went inside to order drinks and food and took a seat on the benches in the courtyard. The waiter/bartender was receptive and answered our many questions about the place and how come we hadn't heard of it before, and what was their specialty, etc. I had the Heat Wave, which was a perfect blend of smoke, sweet, and spicy (it's served with a jalapeno slice as garnish). My friend had the sangria which I believe was made with tequila, so that was quite a delicious twist. We ordered a vegetarian cauliflower crust pizza with goat cheese and spinach and a flour crust Spicy Hawaiian and some of their soon to be famous meatballs in sauce. Everything was incredible!!! I have never eaten cauliflower crust pizza before, but if that's how everyone makes it, I could eat that for the rest of my life. The meatballs were beef and pork, so they were quite succulent, while still having a crust on the outside. And you can just imagine how good the other pizza was. I plan to make a habit of passing by whenever I get the chance. There's usually a DJ on Thursday nights, so it's even more vibeful. If you're looking for some great food in a chill but fun environment, The Patio Bar and Pizza might be the...
