It’s Thursday around 8pm and 3 local women walk in with a labradoodle that is OBVIOUSLY NOT ANY type of service dog and they seat them inside at the 1st booth with the dog eventually laying in the aisle as the women sit and drink their wine. WHY?!? There is ample seating outside on a gorgeous night! Seat them outside where they belong. I ask to be sat far away from the dog on the floor so we’re in the last window table on the right towards the kitchen and we like our table. Eventually a waitress arrives and we order a Coke and a water and potstickers. SEVERAL minutes go by and she returns with our drinks and bread. Now we order Evelyn’s Pasta and the everything flatbread. We never see our waitress again. 16 minutes later, a food runner arrives with fried zucchini which we inform her is not ours. She leaves with that and 6 minutes later our waitress returns, apologizes and says our potstickers will be right up. Remember…we’re the closest table to the kitchen. Thankfully my girl and I are not starving, the bread is long gone (no additional bread is offered) and we say to each other that the meals will arrive before the pot stickers. We were right! 12 minutes after our waitress assured us of the impending arrival of the appetizer…the same food runner arrived with our meals with the waitress who loudly snapped at the food runner “This is the 2nd time you guys have done this to me tonight!!”. 4 minutes later, we finally received the elusive potstickers. I asked the waitress to make sure we do not get those 2 meals as we would like fresh dishes for our dinner. She agreed. 15 minutes after finishing our appetizer, we decided that was enough for us, finally saw the waitress and told her to cancel our meals. I told her I would pay for the coke and appetizer and we’ll leave. She said “Don’t worry about it, I’ll take care of the bill. Just go”. We put a $5.00 on the table and on the way out, the dog was still in the aisle. No manager ever made any contact with us but WOW what a god awful tourist trap experience here that this born and raised local will never return to and definitely tell...
Read moreSwore I'd never come back here, but my girl makes me. Here's the latest installment of this place sucks. I added some pictures of the $27 seared ahi tuna salad. Notice that the tuna is not even close to seared it is well done, what's the point? Then for $27 it's a tiny piece of tuna that's like a quarter of an inch thick lol You get more than this at every other place when you just order the appetizer. This place is definitely ridiculous still. On a positive note I was able to update my two star review to a one star review congratulations you guys have reached the bottom of the hill.
First review below This place is steadily going down hill. First let me say that we used to love this place. It used to be sporadically good, but last few times it's a disappointment. I held off saying anything until now. Our waitress was great, no issues with service for us, ever, it's the food. First issue, the $15 crispy spicy chicken sandwich, it looked like it was sitting next to something and they barely splash sauce on it by accident. There was like no sauce in it. Wrong cheese and not even a full size slice. Not sure it was the right bun. The Chicken looked like they used something from a different menu item, it was skinny and super flat/thin mostly. This looks like something from a fast food place. It did taste ok though. Next my girlfriend ordered some chicken and pasta and she ordered some extra sauce on the side. Because they are notorious here for not enough sauce. And of course they put no sauce on the pasta, very little on the chicken and gave only a small side cup of sauce. Like a dipping cup. We ordered our food to eat there but we decided at the last minute to take it home. so I don't think it was an issue of them thinking they could send to go food that was substandard. If we would have been there they could have corrected it. On a positive note we did have a bunch of appetizers and they were all great. If you're charging this much for food it has to be...
Read moreDon't waste your money. We are staying at the Riverside Hotel and ordered our food to-go. The staff at the to-go area was nice. We arrived at the requested time for pick-up, but the food was cold by the time we took the 3 minute walk back to our room. We ordered a garden salad, chicken piccata, the combo chicken madeira/steak diane, and a piece of white chocolate raspberry truffle cheescake.
Ok, so the best thing about our meal was the salad and the cheescake. This was extremely disappointing because we adore the location in Winter Park back home. The chicken in both dinners was dry and hard to cut. It lacked flavor and we both tossed more than half of it. The mashed potatoes in the combo had no flavor and also met the trash. The absolute worst was the steak. I ordered it medium and it arrived dry and extremely overcooked. Also, for some reason they served the sauces for the chicken and the steak on the side. They didn't even cook the meat in the sauce. I think this contributed to the dry leather cubes of meat that ultimately met the bin.
If you are in town I'd suggest ordering drinks or getting cheescake, but avoid their kitchen at all costs. The feeling of wasting money is only second to how upset your stomach will be after eating what they are trying to pass off for food. I would have given them 1 star, but the cheescake was ok. Glad they didn't mess that up.
Btw, I called the location afterwards and let the management know about our dinner. They offered to make us something else, but we had no faith in their kitchen and declined. It's important to provide constructive criticism when the food is this bad. Hopefully they'll make the necessary changes to elevate this location back to the standard we've grown to expect from the...
