Buyers be aware.
These folks were not honest with us. They did not stand behind their word even though it's was made in writing.
Quote issued by the gallery consultant. Offer to sell made in writing with an emailed invoice. Offer accepted & invoice 100% paid, including shipping and insurance.
Then, after a weekend passed, a text message comes in from the same consultant trying to nearly double the price.
Follow up ... received a call from the "gallery owner" who placed blame for their unwillingness to fulfill/complete the transaction on the artist. Says they asked artist for permission the honor the price they, not only quoted but invoiced and accepted payment for. They claim the artist, Fabio N., denied their request.
Final update: Following received directly from the artist on Instagram ...
Hi, I just spoke with Oliver and he explained the situation. The price they quoted you was the wholesale price and not the gallery retail. It's a mistake that happens often when a consultant misreads the invoice sent from the studio. I have known Oliver for almost 20 years and he helped me get my company off its feet 10 years ago. He is one of a handful of people art business that I trust and consider a friend. I cannot let him sell that piece and profit nothing from it due to a mistake by a consultant. That also under values every piece that has sold over the years. As you may know a 22×30 on paper sells for $7500/ $8000 unframed. I'm sure this was not the reply you expected and I apologize for that. Fabio
Seems to confirm the following: We were absolutely quoted a sell price by the gallery's consultant. They have no intention of honoring their word and are willing to throw their consultants under the bus to increase profit. Apparently, according to the artist, it happens often when dealing with their gallery...

I stopped in to the gallery after a visit to nearby Hoff's House of Sweets. I was drawn in by all the incredible looking art. There were several rooms to explore of whimsical sculptures, ceramics, and wall art. Some of my favorite pieces were the 3-D alligator and ocean reef, the donuts, A. Marin's climbing people, Jeff Koons balloon animals, the colorful dogs of Michael Vista, and the art glass jellyfish by Satava. Everything was out of my price range but I had fun looking. What a great addition...
Read moreEffusion may carry some decent art work however their prices are substantially higher than other galleries. Do your homework before you decide to purchase something there. Example - the exact same piece of art in their gallery was priced much higher than in another gallery (Sher Gallery in Aventura). I saw another review that mentioned Sher Gallery so I went to check it out and was very upset to see that it was true. I started to call other galleries and found that Effusion charges more for everything. There’s absolutely no excuse for...
