Water Taxi Stop F2 — Attraction in Fort Lauderdale

I was visiting Fort Lauderdale and saw the good reviews so I booked the water taxi for their $25 Labor Day special. On Saturday, the weather was sunny and pleasant. Each boat crew was very nice, especially Nick and Jeremy, can’t remember other crew names(2 older gentlemen and a lady, think Kathy and a gentlemen) gave a commentary during the ride. Marushka, at station F4. shared the water taxi also went to Hollywood so I did both Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood. The bathrooms were clean and they offered drinks. If you decide to book the taxi, be mindful of the time. The Fort Lauderdale route seem to have more boats and timely, however the boat we were on was ahead of schedule so we had to wait at Las Olas for 20 min. Then we had to wait for 10-12 min for another boat before going to Hollywood. My mom, sister and I were on vacation for my mom’s birthday and decide to do the water taxi. There are several that run every 30 -45 minutes. I felt we had a very lively taxi which we picked up at stop #2. They were entertaining and lively and very informative. My only complaint is that we signed up for our tickets on the taxi and we didn’t check that we received our tickets in a text message or email so that we could hop on and off the rest of the day. Luckily one of the employees on another water taxi was understanding and let us get back to get back to our car....

Las Olas is a shopping street with upscale goods and one restaurant that I particularly like...La Bonne Crepe at 815Las Olas. Had #32, smoked salmon crepe with asparagus and cream sauce. Absolutely heavenly. The water taxi drops you off about a block away fro m Las Olas and you can walk from there to the Riverwalk where you can dinner along the river. Loved the water taxi for the opportunity to get fresh air, see amazing mansions and be entertained by staff with stories of who built or live-in those homes, many of which have huge yachts parked...
