My family and I have been a customer at this establishment for over ten years now. We never had an issue with food or service until just recently. We had ordered for lunch as usual and had asked for extra side dishes and the lady who was taking the order gave us a nasty attitude for no reason. Side dishes comes with any meal you order, whether you dine-in or take-out. For the past decade, no one has given us an attitude or problem, but I have no clue as to why on the earth this lady acted the way she did. We are not talking about giving away the house with a dozen extra side dishes. Just asked for couple of side dishes which would not have cost more than one dollar. We were purchasing over fifty dollars of food for crying out loud. When we had dine-in for lunch or dinner, we would automatically get extra side dishes without even asking. I am disgusted and shocked, that the woman had such nasty attitude. It makes me sick to my stomach to have given them our business for over a decade. Absolutely, there is no excuse for that kind of behavior towards a loyal/ repeat customer. She needs to be fired or reprimanded by the owner. If anyone else encountered this kind of behavior with asking for extra side dishes, please don't hesitate to post it on Google or Yelp. It will be a long time before my family and I will be going back to this restaurant for a meal, that is if we decide go back. UNBELIEABLE AND...
Read moreI DO NOT RECOMEND HERE. GO another restaurants. 1.One Korean lady server who wearing grey cardigan was not only rude but also incredibly inefficient. Instead of placing the dishes on our table when they were ready, they handed them to us to place ourselves. It felt like we were doing their job for them. At first, the side dishes were placed haphazardly on the table by that SERVER, so the server directly handed us the food. While we were trying to tidy up the mess and arrange the dishes to make space for the main course, she stood there holding the next dish, just staring at us. It was such a bizarre experience. Do employees like that even exist? Furthermore, the table we were seated at was sticky and clearly hadn't been properly cleaned.
When we entered the restaurant, OLD woman was sitting at the counter, eating her meal, and casually glanced at us. We stood there, waiting, while she continued her meal. Naturally, we assumed she wasn't an employee and was just enjoying a meal. To our surprise, she turned out to be the OWNER of the restaurant. It was quite shocking to see her ignore the customers in her own restaurant and focus solely on her meal.
The restroom was a sight for sore eyes – not only was it dirty, but there were also clothes hanging up inside, presumably belonging to the staff. Placing dishes in front of the restroom is not only unhygienic but also highly...
Read moreCasual Chinese Korean restaurant in Fort Lee, that has affordable pricing but awful service. My family and I came here for dinner on a Sunday evening by way of a recommendation from a store clerk – we found out before leaving the restaurant that the store clerk is actually the owner’s sister, which she had failed to mention. The deception in and of itself left a bad taste in our mouths.
We ordered the pork 탕수육, 간짜장, 짬뽕, and짬자면. The 짜장면 and 짬뽕 tasted super bland and lacked a depth of flavor. The 간짜장 was a bit on the salty side, but more edible than the other two main courses. The pork 탕수육 [sweet-and-sour pork] was fried to perfection and the sauce was served on the side, which was not too sweet and had nice consistency.
What really stands out in terms of making this a negative experience is our main server. When we asked her for an extra take-out container, she literally rolled her eyes and laughed at us.
All in all, given the lackluster flavors and the rude service, I will not be coming back...
