Poor management is the obvious downfall here and the new paint job outside wont save you!
This used to be one of the decent locations. I can count on one hand how many times in my life I’ve walked out of a place before getting my food and without paying…this was definitely one of them! I worked at the Naples, Pine Ridge location decades ago when that was a well oiled machine and I see so many things accepted here that would never have been tolerated at the one I worked at all those years ago.
Initial greetings and drink orders take over 5 minutes anytime I’ve been there. Drinks from the bar to your table take forever even when there’s less than a few people at the bar itself. The food is usually quick enough but this occasion we left after waiting 30-40 minutes for a 3 person order… a quesadilla and 2 AYCE specials. That’s basic, easy to push out food for any scrub working the line! The kicker, never saw the server within that time which also means no refills! 2 in the party were ordering premium liquor drinks. Are you kidding? Push the alcohol while your customers wait…serving 101! But no, not a single refill or offer for a refill.
I did see what I think was a manager pushed up chatting at the service station of the bar. Saw what were probably employee kids at the bar because they were unaccompanied…kinda wouldn’t care about that. If you need to work and have no child care, so be it but kinda illegal last I knew. The bar wasn’t exactly popping anyway.
The place was busy-ish but not packed by any means….perhaps understaffed. How do you as a manager not check in on tables, ticket times or anything else when your place is in the weeds? Management here is an obvious problem and needs to do better by their employees and customer base. I don’t mean to sound like an old fart but for crying out loud, I have experienced working at a location that had professional management. They were on your ass if you did not greet a table within 1-2 minutes and have drinks to the table within a few minutes after that. God forbid they saw an empty glass on the table and management beat you to offering them a refill. If dinner ticket times were over 12-14 minutes, they were yelling at the kitchen. If food was sitting in the window, they ran the food or yelled for runners. They actually checked on diners during their meal…what a concept!!!
Rant over but do better! Not going back anytime soon…you have way too much competition out there and I’m sure this location will be the next to fail. It’s a shame cuz Applebee’s can really hit the spot when you’re in the mood. I just don’t see them doing any better than all the other locations that keep...
Read more(TLDR at bottom) To start off, we were seated in the corner booth by the door. Then we waited 10min, after the 10min wait the people at the front giving out the menus and seating people noticed we did not get our drinks. They asked if we have been served yet. We stated not yet. She then apologizes and decides to go get our drinks. I got Sierra mist and let me tell you, it tasted like well water and mold. Another 10min goes by, I then ask who our waiter will be. They point to a waiter outside helping people. So we wait some more. About 5 minutes goes by. Then he shows up and asks for our food choices. (During this time I ask for a drink change due to the bad taste of the drink.) We give him our food choices from the 2for32 menu. (Grilled chicken and potatoes, and four cheese Mac and cheese with honey chicken tenders. The appetizers we chose were salads.) The waiter then leaves. 10 more minutes goes by. He shows up with the drink switch that I asked for then leaves again. This time he doesn’t show back up at all, we catch him watching an outside tv. About 15 minutes goes by and two different people, a waiter and waitress both deliver our food while our original waiter is who knows where. We thank them and they leave. Let me tell you, this 4 cheese Mac and cheese dish WAS DISGUSTING and super disappointing. Cheese had zero flavor couldn’t even taste it. I couldn’t personally finish eating it and i didn’t bother taking it home as it was horrible. The chicken tenders were ok but almost too salty to eat (Couldn’t eat all of them). The chicken dish with potatoes was alright. After sitting here again for another 15min, I had to ask another waiter if we could get the check and pay because our original waiter was again missing. In the end I Decided that no tip will be given and hopefully proper training will help him.
TLDR: Incompetent waiter and...
Read moreI went into my local applebees today and I had to wait 5 minutes for a host to be seated so before I waited any longer I sat at the bar and it took 10 minutes for the bar tender to take my order and I told her I wanted the blue hawaiian aloha drink that is made with Teremana Tequila and she ended up making me a long island ice tea I got upset and walked out and went to child's across the street. If a customer was a regular at your restaurant and your bartender ends up messing up my drink I wanted then I am going to stop coming because eventually I will get tired of the nonsense because it's not rocket science and If Rebecca was their my drink would have been perfect and the bartender that was their today she also needs to lose her attitude because I was just explaining what drink I wanted and like I said she is not going to make me what she feels like making me and I was being very specific about the drink. If she didn't want to go into work today she could 9f stayed home and waiting 10 minutes just to tale a order and then I stood at the door for 5 minutes like where was the hostess???? Here is the recipe for a Teremana-based "Blue Aloha" cocktail was made popular by Applebee's when it served a limited-edition Mana Margarita featuring Dwayne Johnson's brand of tequila. It's a take on a Blue Hawaiian Margarita, replacing the traditional rum with Teremana tequila. Teremana Ingredients 2 oz Teremana Blanco Tequila 1 oz Blue Curaçao 1 oz pineapple juice ½ oz fresh lime juice ½ oz cream of coconut (optional, but adds a creamy, tropical element) Ice For garnish: Pineapple slice and maraschino cherry I am not sure why it is not on the menu any more when I had asked the bartender just was looking at as if I didn't know what I was talking about and that is when I got...
