As a former frequent visitor of this specific Chicken Salad Chick location, I am disappointed at how management has handled their ability to train and schedule employees recently. Not only do I know someone that was let go from this location for no justifiable reason, but I also know individuals who have constantly complained about not receiving the hours that they were promised to be given by management upon hire. These same individuals were also promised to receive help when it came to opening and closing the store, yet they were scheduled by themselves and yet again their management did not help these individuals. Some of these individuals have even expressed that they had medical injuries that prevented them from lifting heavy items, and provided documentation from their doctors, yet management has disregarded the safety of their employees to the point where they are coming home in pain and their health is worsening. I also know a couple of individuals that originally applied for leadership positions that they saw via Indeed, but after interviewing, they were told that they "do not hire leads," then to find out that they hired someone for a lead position a month later, which leads to a case of false advertisement, but that is not the main point of this review. Overall, not only have I seen first-hand how management treats their employees, but I have also had several issues with a numerous amount of orders that I have placed throughout the times I have eaten here. From missing items, such as crackers for a soup I ordered or even forgetting to make a Quick Chick that I ordered, to sandwiches being made incorrectly and/or subpar, it is clear that the current management seems to not care about the quality of service as much as their company site says they do when it comes to their guests. All in all, if you are considering either working at this location or eating at this location, I would highly advise that you should not waste your time doing so. Take your money...
Read moreI am a big fan of the food. They sometimes forget the lettuce or tomato on the sandwich, so you have to make sure to tell them. We often order for my office, orders are typically over $100 and we always order right when they open at 10 to avoid the lunch rush. I called and asked if he could label what was in the box, just a simple “carol, Dixie, etc” so that I am not picking through sandwiches trying to see what’s inside for each person. He told me that it was a hassle and time consuming. We do not have crazy mods or special requests. I reminded him that I ordered first thing when they opened and stated we often order and it’s just more convenient to the customer to have some way of knowing what’s in each box. He said he remembers us ordering for our office on occasions before but then proceeded to still lecture me on why it’s a pain to them. I’m sorry, but as a former restaurant GM when I was in college, I wouldn’t tell a loyal customer who routinely orders large order for her business that she’s being problematic. We order from other restaurants who say “of course, our pleasure” when asked to label. If he clearly does not want our business, we will...
Read moreI will not be returning after speaking with a former employee about how poorly upper management treats their salaried and hourly workers. The company made promises about a merit-based bonus but gave them the assessment on their second day while in training (which they understandably did not pass) so they were ineligible, and also made promises about future benefits (healthcare, 401k, etc) that did not come to fruition. Their positions also have a very high turnover rate (by choice for shift workers and forced terminations for salaried workers who are otherwise eligible for the company's promised/advertised promotions), which speaks for itself. Staff training is also lacking, which can be seen in a number of reviews that fault the staff for not being knowledgeable on their menu items; however, this is clearly an issue with management and their inability to properly train and mitigate turnover. I personally do not support this type of business and would discourage anyone who is considering submitting an application....
