Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Fort Myers

So, I had gone here many many times and accrued many coupons for free items, the result…. I lose them all because they expire…. I had no idea they had expiration dates. Having expiration dates on coupons for spending a lot of money buying many items is ridiculous! The expiration dates expired quickly. I had the idea of saving them in hopes to use them for when I finally find a great woman to take on a date, and I could take her there many times, since I work paycheck to paycheck this would have been great for me in that context. Also, the first time I had gone there after them adding new items I have this experience, I always get the gelati and now they have a five layer gelati and I told the lady I wanted to get the gelati and she said OK so you want the five layer gelati I almost did not catch it, but she had tried tricking me into getting the five layer because it is about two or three dollars more expensive, may I mind you the sizes on both of these different gelati are exactly the same .you get the same amount of product for more $$ , tricking you think there is more by saying it has five layers instead of two. This place is expensive already, and with just more items being added to rip people off and I have always had bad experiences with these people. in which is too much for you to read so I will leave those experiences out .They are disrespectful and care more about their profits and satisfying customers. There is no reason for their attitudes and rudeness and disrespect towards me solely for the fact that I have always been very positive, caring and nice to all of them because that is the type of person I am. I am finally tired of this place and will never be going back...

Not only was I overcharged over 6+ dollars in extra things we didn't even have they messed my order up three times where I finally asked for a refund $28.45 was my total. The young Spanish girl tossed $12.89 at me telling me she knew how to make her item's, WHICH EVEN WASN'T THE CORRECT REFUND! Let me remind you I ordered TWO take 5 pumpkin concretes. First concretes they made were clearly the reeses peanut butter pie told then they were not correct they took back brought them back and they had added apple to them again not correct. I asked please could you not continue to add and remake correct way they brought back again a 3rd time wrong. Not to mention we ordered a kids custard cone twist flavor and they gave us an adult chocolate also wrong. We also stood at window for 30 minutes prior to ordering waiting to be helped as only concern was their drive-through. I will never return to this location fort myers which is sad cause it's our only location and our family favorite spot of over 20 years now is no more. It is not okay to yell at customers who were not even rude to you throw money at them and close a window...

We used to go to Rita’s all the time in Pennsylvania before moving to Florida.

Consistently good from location to location.

We stopped here an hour before closing and as others have mentioned they were out of several flavors. Not the end of the world. A suggestion to avoid having customers be let down cause their favorite flavor ran out would be to use a digital display menu that can easily be changed as menu items run out for the day. The locked flavors of the day board outside does not make it easy to make changes quickly. Just my 2 cents.

My wife was and I both got our favorite Gelati. It was delicious and presentation was great. We both got a large and we both agreed that next time a medium will be fine as the large is really generous in size.

The two girls working did a good job of handling the late night rush to get custard.
