El Dorado Furniture opened a new store in Fort Myers in November 2014. We bought a couple of weeks after their Grand Opening in December 2014 a leather section, matching tables and several other small furniture. Together with this purchase we also paid for the extra insurance for the white leather section after the sales person Jorge recommended it to us. At the end of 2015 we had a few big red stains on the leather and contacted the insurance SmartChoice in March 2016 after we were not able to get the stains out. Shortly after we filled out the claim and send the pictures of the stained part SmartChoice sent a company out to look at the damage. The subcontractor tried to clean it as well with no luck Then we didn't hear from anybody for the following 3 month. We called several times the insurance as well as El Dorado Furniture and were told they had to order the leather pieces for the exchange of one seat part and the back part of a small section of the entire sofa. Finally in September the leather arrived and another company - chosen by SmartChoice - came to us to do the exchange. Unfortunately the leather they send was not matching at all and also didn't fit. We contacted SmartChoice as well as El Dorado and brought the new leather pieces back to El Dorado. At this time we talked to Christina in Customer Service from El Dorado and were insured they will do everything to make us a satisfied customer. After weeks went by and nothing happened we went to the store in Fort Myers in person and talked to the Manager (Alex). He promised us he will do everything to help us with our problem. Unfortunately he was the biggest disappointment, hardly called back and didn't do anything. In late October (after almost 7 month) SmartChoice sent out another company to exchange with the same leather pieces which didn't fit in September. When they came to our house a 2nd time and looked at the leather they asked us if we really want to replace the leather pieces and told us they wouldn't recommend it. Of course we said no since these were the same leather pieces SmartChoice wanted to replace a few month before. It was a totally mismatch with the existing leather. 2 weeks later we received an email from SmartChoice that the claim is closed for them because we refused to let the company change the damaged leather parts.
We are property manager here in the area und furnished with El Dorado 3 homes, referred other owners from us to El Dorado and bought furniture for us personally. The sales we brought to El Dorado are probably around $100,000.00 . It is very sad, that El Dorado didn't follow up on their promise to help us with our problem since we think we are a very good customer with them. The only person who tried to help us over and over again was Patricia, our sales consultant, to communicate with the management but her hands were tied. We didn't expect anything for free but at least something in exchange.
All this said we decided for now not to buy any new furniture from El Dorado and also cannot recommend El Dorado furniture to anybody after this bad experience. Don't trust them if they tell you they will take care of you. And don't sign up for the extra insurance. It's a waste of money.

Read moreI wish we could rate 0 stars. This place is so unprofessional. Our order was from August, it is now December and we still don't have all of our furniture! The quality of their products is horrible, all the staff does is blame the warehouse and gets nothing resolved. After a third try to deliver a set of damaged bar stools, they cancelled the delivery without letting us know. We had to go back to the store and pick out different ones, which were more expensive. The salesperson (ALINA) lied about calculations on our bill, they also tried to decrease our finance time period. She denied what she had done several times and after confronting her she stated, "We all make mistakes, you shouldn't judge someone for making a mistake." I let her know that when she is trying to cover her mistake and it is costing us money it is a serious problem. We explained to her that we had an incident where one of the stools we received came apart by just moving it and landed on our family member's foot, they brushed it off and acted like they were doing us a favor. The manager never even came out to hear our concerns, the sales person (ALINA) just kept calling them on the phone, that whole time the manager was at the front of the store. Once we ordered the new furniture we had to schedule a new delivery time. They delivered the new bar stools, one of which was still damaged. Then a week later another delivery and again the stool was DAMAGED. The driver stated he would take pictures of the damaged stool and they would call us. Weeks passed and we heard nothing, so we called customer service and started explaining our situation. It has been 7 to 8 visits to our home, both time and money wasted. At first it seemed as though they were concerned, until they hung up and we were once again left with nothing!! Still waiting... one thing they never fail at, is sending the bill for all of our furniture. We have been paying the bill for 4/5 months, for things we don't even have in our possession. I would not recommend this headache to anyone.
Update**: I called to find out what is going on with our order and they have informed me that it is on back order until FEBRUARY! I asked why we had not been told and she stated there was a note that someone called. I asked her what other options do we have since it is unfair that we are paying for things we don't have. She stated I could contact the salesperson so that I can pick out another one yet again. What a joke, not a bit apologetic or sympathetic. I am supposed to bend over backwards for things we are...
Read moreThe WORST experience I’ve ever experienced with a furniture store! My partner, our son and I walked in on April 13 ready to purchase a new living room set and not one person said hi or anything to us. There were multiple people sitting at the desk up front and they looked up then just looked back down. We decided to look around anyways ourselves to see if we liked anything. We finally found a sectional we loved and had to search all over the store for someone who wanted to help us. We finally found someone but she was “tied up” and passed us on to a different co worker. After signing all the paperwork and agreeing on a day for the furniture to be delivered we left and the waiting game began. On may 15 it was supposed to be delivered but no call or anything was received so I called the store to figure out what was going on and was told sorry I can’t help you because I am not your sales rep. So I called my sales rep and when she answered she said I can’t talk right now I’m not dealing with my father and I’ll call you back. After a few days of not hearing back I called again to check up and someone different answered and said I’m now looking at late June maybe. We decided to visit rooms to go that week and found something there instead so I called to cancel our order. Our sales rep seemed aggravated and said okay I’ll cancel it and hung up. A few weeks later we received a text saying they have my couch and when do I want it. I told them I cancelled my order and they seemed confused. I called El dorado back and was told my order is going to get cancelled and I’ll receive my refund of $365. Here I am in July with No refund and no answering either. I will NEVER...
