We visited on a Monday afternoon, and it was pretty slow, maybe half of the bays were being used. We had 4 adults, and 3 kids (7, 5, 2) in our group. Called ahead for reservations and there weren’t any available, but they said it was only a 15 minute wait. Upon arrival 10 minutes later they told us it was a 45-1 hr wait. So we sat in the dining area and ordered lunch. The server was nice, but appetizers and kids meals took about 50 minutes to arrive. While waiting for the food with restless kids, we took a walk around, and to our surprise we counted 20+ open bays! Why did we wait an hour on a Monday afternoon?? Then about an hour after arrival they text me that our bay was ready. We got to our assigned bay and it had beers all over and needed bussing. The bay was also right next to another group, which was expected, but there were another 8 open bays next to us, so we asked if we could move down one spot, since it would be less dangerous for our kids. the server said he wouldn’t be able to move us, but said he’d ask the manager. He returned and said the manager said no. Then we asked to speak with the manager and the manager okayed us to move over to a safer bay. After going through a 10 minute registration process, which they charge you $5/person, including kids, we started to play. Shortly later the server let us know there was about 10 minutes left, and asked if we wanted to add more time. I told him we’d probably be done in 10-15 minutes, and didn’t want to purchase more time. He swiped his card and our bay completely shut down at exactly 1 hour, when we had about 12 shots left. Not to mention all the delays from balls not registering. There were also no TVs facing the golfers like at other TG locations. After already being there for over 2 hours to play 45 minutes of golf, and $200 later, no employee in sight, we decided to sign the check and leave. kids didn’t get to finish the game and both left crying. The place was slow, and they could have easily given us 5 minutes more to finish up. Overall, it’s annoying that they made us wait an hour for a bay when there were plenty of bays available, the food (apps) took over 45 minutes, they weren’t very accommodating, and they shut us down right before the end of our game. Definitely won’t be returning to this place with or without kids. Just a very disappointing...
Read moreUpdate 2024 We have been back a few times now and service has gotten much better so they have now earned all 5 stars!!
Had a great day date with my hubs recently and since it was so hot they were giving out complimentary ice cream. The service was very attentive. Shout out to the manager Nick too who was helping out all his staff. Way to lead by example!
I am glad to see how they have improved. We’ve been back 3 times since my initial review and it’s been consistently good :) 👍
Original review 2021
We booked for my parents 42nd Anniversary party (2 bays). We live in Naples and have considered coming for many other occasions in season but waited til off season to celebrate any of our various family’s birthdays based on our busy schedules and not wanting to wait to play. It was fun to play but the staff reminded us at least 6 times there was a $175 minimum for food and beverages. Lololol We spent WAY more than that easily with 11 people so I am not sure what the concern was. It was on the contract no need to remind us multiple times like we are cheap….pretty rude if you ask me! If we get to end then maybe remind us.
My dad had also asked to bring a cake and they told him no when booking…turns out you can but it has to be store bought which they failed to disclose. Why? Is this a nut free facility? Why in the world would you not be able to bring in ANY cake of your own for your guests to consume. You aren’t selling it lol. I asked if we could get a cake from them and they only had donut holes and brownie sundae so it wasn’t because they wanted the income. I would have paid for a cake if they offered. Alas there was no fanfare because they banned us from bringing a cake due to the miscommunication.
For the price we paid to book 2 bays, food, drinks, souvenirs we should have had some VIP feeling or comps included. Most VIP experiences in Naples include bottle service or at least a complimentary platter of some sort. I would’ve even been okay with one lone balloon or a single flower! Anything to make an event special. Small gestures count.
I can think of better ways to blow $1k in SWFL so don’t think I will bother going back. Maybe better to just show up/wait and just play versus booking a special event. But if it’s this bad in the slowest month of the year imagine how terrible the service is in...
Read moreFirst time visiting Top Golf. Great concept. Made a reservation. This costs $5. Probably not necessary at the time we went (8:45pm on a Thursday) as there were plenty of open bays, but better to be safe than sorry. You will also have to pay a one time $5 fee as a new member. Our family of 3 spent $20 and haven’t even hit a ball 🤷♂️ Just calling it as I see it. Location is nice. Great layout. Counter person was helpful and accommodating upon our arrival. She explained everything and gave us directions to our bay. We were greeted within a minute at our bay by our server, Zoe. She was very friendly and explained how everything works. She checked in on us and made sure everything was going well. We ordered drinks and food. Food was good. Burger was not over cooked and still juicy. Chicken fingers didn’t fare as well. We were on the first level. It was kind of hard to tell how far the golf ball was actually going from this perspective. There is a TV screen to see where the ball traveled and show you the score on that ball. I think the upper level would be better to see the ball traveling in the air to the targets. We had two people golfing. I think to have a more relaxed time it would be better to have 4-6 people so you don’t feel so rushed to hit balls because the hourly rate per player is more expensive when there are only 2 people as opposed to 4-6. The hourly rate gets more expensive as the day goes on. But if you have more people playing it will be cheaper for each player. Overall we enjoyed our visit and would like to give Top Golf a 4 star review. BUT, I’m deducting 1 star because of the music. It was waaaaaaaay too loud. You could not even talk to the person across the table without shouting at them. Also it was all mash-ups of hip hop, rap and dance music. I don’t mind that music but not for 2 hours straight. There is plenty of music out there to mix things up for younger and older customers. I do not know if the music is different at different times of the day but from 8:45 -10:30pm I felt like we were at a nightclub. I’m on the fence if I’ll go back. If it wasn’t for the music we would’ve have a much...
