Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Fort Payne

I'm basing this review mostly on my last visit. I've been there several times in the past and the food and service has been much better! We pulled in and placed our order and had to sit and wait almost 45 minutes for our food to get to us. It wasn't a busy issue. There were only 3 other vehicles in the lot while we were there with a few more coming in a bit later. There was no visible excuse for the wait but who knows what was going on inside causing problems. Some things can't be helped. When our order got to us it was a to-go order and a fair sized order for 5 people. The cheese burgers that were ordered were very dry and one tasted so bad it was thrown away. The order also included 3 "foot long" coneys. Those were served to us as foot long hot dogs in regular sized buns and so drowned in coney sauce it was obvious they were hoping we wouldn't notice them being served on the wrong buns with only a small touch of cheese on them. The hot dogs were also very rubbery to try to cut with a fork and try to eat. All of the sides were cold as well. The only thing good was the drink's! Had we not brought it home to eat or if we lived closer I would have returned it and asked for a refund or the order to be made fresh. This Sonic location has always been clean and well taken care of. The carhop was nice and friendly as they always are. They do have a rather small parking area. It's difficult to get a truck or SUV into the stall to place your order and still leave enough room for them to pass your food through your window to you. You also have so many blind spots backing out is a problem if someone close also decided to back out when you do or a smaller vehicle is moving through the parking lot. Ordered three dill pickle burger's add bacon and tomato two orders of tater tots two orders pickle fries a# 12 which was chicken we got the honey bbq two Oreo Reese's peanut butter master shake's two rt 44 drinks coke and root beer and two wakey packs with hot dogs fries and milk the burgers two didn't have the dill pickles and no bacon and tomato only got one order of pickle fries no ranch at all the chicken was so hard it could not be eaten and the shake's one had a hole in cup so it was placed inside another cup no Oreos and no whipped topping or cherry the other had no Reese's or Oreos In it. So a 48.:::$$ Order was not completed and half was not able to be eaten. So disappointing because the only reason I went there was for the pickle fries and pickle burger and the Oreo Reese's peanut butter master shake and did not even get that not sure it's even worth a star and sonic used to have the best service and the best shakes. The person who took the order could not hear through the intercom they sent out a girl and she told the burgers and said he should be able to get the rest of the...

My wife and I ordered, food was brought, my wife's food was not accurate. My wife I pushed the order button, told the employee the order was wrong and got silence... My wife got had to get out of our vehicle and go to the door and wait until a car hop came out, she explained to the car hop what had happened and the car hop told the informed the workers while she stood there. After my wife got back in and we had waited for a few minutes the car hop came out with the order and apologized. My wife opened up the burger to see it was the same burger as before, she stoped the car hop (that was busy doing her job) and informed her that the order was STILL wrong. The car hop told my wife to keep it and that she was going to take care of it. The car hop went in washed her hands and made the the order accurately. Everyone at that store deserves to loose their jobs and be replaced with the car hop being the exception of course, because she was working while the other employees stood around...
