This establishment is owned by the most unprofessional owner I've ever encountered. DISCRIMINATION!!!!!!!!! at hits high! Awful customer service with all staff. After their mistakes with their food, they do not take accountability or care to fix the issues and then the audacity to call the paying customer a LIAR ...after i found a roach in my pastry. The manager couldn't even admit to their mistake because they are embarrassed and trying to save their business. Ive never seen an owner sweat that much just off of speaking with me. IS it because you were that nervous that you guys lied. Filthy establish as well as attitudes there. I DO NOT CARE TO HAVE ROACHES IN MY FOOD EATING AT MERVIS CAFE AND I HAVE THE RIGHT TO FEEL THAT WAY AND SHARE IT! They did not like that I spoke up about the issue and refused me from using other public services the post office. SO I WILL CONTINUE TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCE AND HOPES THAT NO ONE HAS TO EXPERIENCE THE SAME TREATMENT. The owner responded back saying this is Defamation on their business, but how is it defamation when I know I found a roach . The fact is yes things happen and it may be expected with these restaurants to have a bug or 2 , but it’s up to the restaurant to handle the situation and rectify the problem, not make excuses or lie about it, I mean look at your own reviews Mr owner and see every low star review your business has. And then let’s...

Eclectic, but nonetheless welcoming. The restaurant takes the majority of the space and gives you the Little Havana feel, like if it belonged somewhere in Miami. You place your order and pay at the very location where you enter the front door, they hand you a ticket # and then you find your own seat if dining in, or a place to wait while they work on your order. When you hear your # called you approach the pick up which is at a different location. If dining in they provide your meal on a paper plate; if ordering 'to go' you get a foam food enclosure. Nothing fancy but it works and quite organized. Very much like a cafeteria in Miami area. I enjoyed the experience. Menu was ethnic, however having American basic options as well. Prices reasonable. Service behind the counter was warm and helpful; speaking English or Spanish clearly. My disappointments were in 1. we wanted pancakes, but they stop serving pancakes after 11am due to not enough grill space available after that hour. 2. The ordering location is too close to the front door causing confusion in foot traffic coming in with lines going to both restaurant and...
Read moreI was born and raised in Cuba so I know my Cuban sandwich, this one rates among the worst ones. It’s NOT served in a cuban bread, it’s served in a media noche sweet bread which by the way was left on too long in the bread presser and got burned. The ingredients were minimal at best, and I could not find the pork that belongs in the sandwich. By my observation their clientele while there were mostly Americans which many have no idea what a real Cuban sandwich tastes like, and think it’s wonderful, however any Cuban that goes there will immediately notice that it’s a fake Cuban sandwich. We were extremely disappointed after traveling over 30 minutes and try their UNFAMOUS cuban sandwich with a pretty hefty price. It’s sad to say this but if you want a BETTER cuban sandwich go to Pollo Tropical I promise you it’s much better, and cheaper. By the way the lady taking the orders needs some lessons in how to welcome a customer, and a little smile can also help. If there was a 0 for the cuban sandwich I would gladly would...
