This review is regarding the regional manager and the way she was rude and the fact that they serve their seared tuna cold. We were served the seared tuna appetizer when it came out it had a gray look to it and it was cold. Cold to the touch everywhere you touched it It wasn't even warm on the edges. So I told the bartender and she said that's because that's how we serve our seared tuna. She explained that the sear it in the morning and then slice it and serve it cold when you order it. On my way out I asked the cook if that was the case he and several young ladies standing there insisted that's the way it's served. Haven't had most of my experiences with the thirsty turtle at the Port St Lucie location I called and spoke with the manager at the Port St Lucie location he explained to me that they're seared tuna is seared fresh to order and would have not been served pre-seared and cold. He furthermore explained that not only is that their standard but the standard for all thirsty turtle locations. I explained to him that I spoke with a young woman who said she was the regional manager who was very rude to me and simply said look I'm only going to explain it to you one more time We sear our tuna in the morning and slice it cold because we do a lot of seared tuna and that's just the way that we do it. Well she apparently didn't tell that to the store manager in Port St Lucie. After the rude experience I had with her I called back and spoke to the Port St Lucie location manager he said he apologized for the treatment he assured me that if I come to their restaurant I will not be served pre-seared cold tuna. He also said he would speak to the owner about the consistency and continuity of the menu from location to location as well as the rudeness that was expressed by the alleged...
Read more1stly, I'll say my server had great service. This review is not about service. THIS REVIEW IS DIRECTLY FOR THE OWNER:
Please, i implore you to LISTEN to your customers regarding food quality. The food was the most horrendous experience I've had since moving to the city. While i offered management my opinions, it was clear it wasn't her first time hearing these complaints. For example, the mac and cheese tasted as tho they opened movie nacho cheese and squeezed it over microwaved noodles. What's more shameful is i asked what kind of cheese was in the mac and the answer was "i dont know honestly".. how can you staff not know your ingredients? Also had a side of red skinned potatoes. That was the most pathetic thing in this whole experience. Potatoes werent steamed, seasoned or even cut. Just 2 whole boiled mini potatoes!! Huh?!... Management also advised the food isnt seasoned AT ALL. At bare minimum, food REQUIRES SALT AND PEPPER. If you have a "no salt" audience, i suggest revising your menu to include a "salt free" selection. It is painfully clear the food isnt cooked fresh, its audacious, and quite a slap in the face, honestly, not to at least salt the food. Another problem is you "card fee".. Our bill was cheaper if we paid cash instead of card. So not only am i given unsalted microwave dinners, im charged a card fee to pay for the pisspoor meal.. smh. I wont get into the seating layout that had the hostess standing over me all night and literally startling me at one point.....
Sadly, this place has alot of potential based on its location and good staff. The food is just really sooooo bad thats its offensive. Im actually offended they served that to the its supportive customers. A menu revamp is...
Read more$23.00 plus tip for poor service and good wings?? No thanks.
Every time I forget the pitfalls of going to the Turtle and remember only how great their wings and fries are, I go back to one of their several area locations.
My first trip to the Fort Pierce location will be my last.
I will never understand why they refuse to put a wing meal offering on the menu.
To get wings you have to order a number of wings, and then order fries separately.
The fries are excellent but it is disappointing that they make you order a large basket just to get them.
It’s enough for two people and WAY to much for one person to each (with a main dish) at lunch.
No other wing place makes you order like this, which is both wasteful and exceedingly expensive.
There is NO reason it should cost over $20.00 to get a lunch order of wings and fries.
On top of the wasteful and overprice wing / fries menu requirement, the service again disappoints, even more than the slack and poor quality service of the Port St Lucie location, because at least they are always busy.
At my lunch the place was empty and the waitress still got my order wrong, my choice of sauce wrong, and the refills on my drink wrong, which was all the more insulting because I only saw her three times the whole meal.
To top it off, I see they now charge almost a 1.00 FEE if you use a credit / debit card.
Other local and well known wing places have much better menu options, more friendly staff, and don’t gouge people for using a normal debit card, and that is where you will find me for the next 8-12 months until I forget how disappointing it is to visit a Thirsty Turtle location just because they...
