Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Fort Scott

I ordered on the app, knowing I could make our blizzards according to how we each liked them. I ordered them as others were ordering in line, it was our turn and I told her I just ordered and paid through the app. She said oh ok, went and pulled the slip and asked if this was me, (said my name) I said yes, that's it. She said ok, I'll let you know when it's ready, they will be working on it next. We sat down. 30 min later still no ice cream! My son age 7, already hyper as is usually. But was waiting and asked for much longer, I said idk. My boyfriend went up to the counter to see if it was ready yet. The lady asked what we needed, not knowing we were still waiting! By this time, the guys are all around the register and deciding what they wanted for their meals, (closing time), the lady says, you don't have yours yet? He said no. Still not ready?... she asked the one guy where the order was, showing him the order slip that is still hanging where she put it. He says, oh, my part of that is ready, they never showed up. By this time, my son and I had joined my boyfriend in the front again. Knowing they are closing. She says, yes, they've been here the whole time. He didn't seem concerned... 😕 so next thing we know, my blizzard comes out, looks ok. Not sure where they had my boyfriend though. It looked all melted and everything. He took it anyways as we knew they were closing and I guess we were lucky to get anything we ordered at all. There were many employees in the restaurant. They were disorganized and rude. We were at this DQ this evening, arriving at 6:45 pm. Shortly after we got in there, one of ther employees came out and announced that we could place our order, but after we got it, we would have to eat outside as the dining room was closing in 10 minutes. She said she didn’t mean to be rude. (She was).. My husband ordered a small chocolate m&ms blizzard, I had a small chocolate milk shake, and one of us had a small hot fudge sundae. The girl charged an extra 59 -cents for the m&m’s for the blizzard! When a friend who was with us told her that wasn’t right, she got flustered and called for help.The other employee told her to clear the order and start over. It was 6:57 by the time they rung up our order. Then, we waited and waited and waited. Two orders that were put in after ours were ready. My husband went up to the window where the orders came out to find out what the hold up was. At that point, the manager came up and told my husband to get out from behind the counter. My husband stayed where he was. The manager told him to move or he would call the police! When the manager handed my husband his runny blizzard, my husband asked him to turn the blizzard upside down. I ordered a dish of twist ice cream and a banana split. The guy at the counter took my order then told me my order number and handed me my receipt. I waited like 15 minutes and they handed me my husband's dish of twist ice cream and told me it would be just a minute on the banana split. We waited for like 10 minutes. My husband was like half way through his ice cream when he put my banana split in the window. The guy at the counter was helping another lady with the fountain machine. So I motioned to him and said you want me to just get it and smiled and in the rudest most threatening way possible he glares at me and pointed at me and acted like he was going to come over the counter at me. I backed up and he sat my banana split in the window to melt instead of just coming around the counter and handing it to me. Then the guy comes back from helping the other lady and hands me the ice cream and the guy in the kitchen acted all rude about it. My ice cream was melted and pretty much banana split soup by that point. He was really rude about the whole situation. They could of handled the whole thing differently. He was really rude. I tried to give feed back in the survey online but it wasn't working either. I used the restroom before I left and it it was really dirty also. I threw my ice cream in the trash...
