One of the best bakeries I've ever been to anywhere! They were rated as having the best donuts in the Ft Smith area (the "Halos") and after eating a few of them I really know why - they're incredible! Best donuts I've ever had! Their other pastries, such as the danishes and cinnamon rolls are also awesome and some of the best. Their blueberry fritter is particularly good - very sweet and strong blueberry flavor - if you like blueberries and you like donuts, this is by far the best! Their pizzas are also exceptionally good - you can tell it's all made from scratch with fresh ingredients and the high quality nuanced flavors really demonstrate that! A forewarning: their cinnamon rolls are GIGANTIC! One of them is basically a whole meal (and has a good bit of strong cinnamon flavor that's just perfect - unlike some other places that are more like a plain roll and skimp on the cinnamon filling - you don't have to worry about that here!). Some of their items are slightly more expensive than other bakeries in the area, but you *definitely* get your money's worth with the awesome taste and large sizes (of some of the items)! Considering everything they do is from scratch, it's actually amazing their prices aren't higher! In many bakeries I've been to in other urban areas with comparable quality (though some of the items still aren't as good as here - particularly those halo donuts!), you usually wind up paying a lot more. This place is definitely worth it! Everything they make is good and if you're anywhere in the area and looking for some good baked items, you can't do better than going to Harvest Moon Bakery!

Everything was delicious. 5 stars is well deserved because the people were warm and the food was great! I really enjoyed my quiche with rosemary and turkey, they clearly used some flavourful cheeses to spice it up! We loved our halo donuts and cheese danishes. There was only one style of coffee, served from the single coffee pot, but it was delicious. They have tables set up in the style of a Cafe. The chairs were not particularly comfortable. Now it's time for the part where I offer constructive criticism. They're a small operation, and I got the impression they might be just starting up. They certainly have the bakery part down, and maybe that's all they feel the need to do, but I would have had an even better experience if they had more of a café vibe with more hot breakfast items. Aside from pastries, the only thing that was "hot" was the quiche that had to be warmed in the microwave. Other hot breakfast offerings would make the place more attractive to come in for breakfast more often. I couldn't help but compare it to some older, more established bakeries in larger towns that I've visited (which speaks highly of this place), but those places put more effort into making it into a café atmosphere. Turtle Bread in Minneapolis comes to mind. The only other piece of constructive feedback is that their toy bin for kids was well-intentioned but kinda sad, as most of the toys were gone and there were only a few crumpled pieces of play money and a small piece of a slinky in there. Overall very pleased with the food and coffee!

When you begin your quest for the perfect doughnut, you begin here. This is a small family owned and operated bakery in Fort Smith Arkansas of all places. It is also apparently, the home of the “Halo” doughnut which is quite possibly the most amazing thing you will ever eat. Have one plain, cinnamon and sugar, chocolate glazed, or the most perfect of all- the Maple Halo. It’s a doughnut. It’s a croissant It’s thousand layers of pastry topped with maple is unreal. This will stay #1 on my list until someone somewhere can improve on this. The rest of the choices I’ll mention now- the artisan breads they offer are vast. I couldn’t think of a kind of bread they did not make. The croissants for breakfast are fabulous. The pies and cupcakes don’t seem to stay on the rack long enough to cool. They have Keto and Vegan options for those people who follow these diets. All-in-all for my travels across this great land this ranks Number 1 top bakery I’ve come across. I’m still looking…

I just started going to this place. My family absolutely loves the donuts! Only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because I had to drop off a delivery there a few days ago and the person that was taking the items was rude and treated me like I HAD to work for her. She gave me a cart for the first part of the items. Then left me to carry in gallons upon gallons of milk and the big cartons of eggs and a case of water with nothing to put it on, all while trying to get the door open. Not one single employee was kind enough to hold the door while I delivered their items. (Yes I know I shouldn't complain, I chose to deliver) but really! A single person could have at least held the door 🚪 so anyways after my delivery was done I went in to grab some breakfast for my husband and I and was treated completely different then I was 10 minutes prior. I will absolutely NOT be delivering here ever again! The way the woman made me feel was embarrassing! You don't act like you are better than someone doing a job...
