We came on the perfect night! They had live music served up with their amazing fresh cuisine. This is not your typical Mexican food. It was fresh, flavorful, and offered unique combinations served hot and fresh! We had a wonderful server (Felissa) who was patient, accommodating, and knowledgeable of the menu. She was like a ninja with drink refills and just genuinely pleasant. We felt very taken care of while being allowed to enjoy our delicious meals. We tried the tableside guacamole. This was the best tableside guac we have ever had! My son had a cup of queso with beef and the salsas and poblano sauce were tasty as well. For our entrees, my husband created his own enchiladas with crawfish, mushrooms, and bacon covered in the poblano sauce. My son enjoyed the delicious tamales with queso as his topping. I had the chicken avocado wrap. Best wrap I have ever tasted. The sole reason we came to Joe's was to see Erin Detherage AKA Dr. SHRED. We have seen Erin several times in varied locations. She NEVER disappoints!! She plays a variety of tunes from many genres and time periods. She is such a crowd pleaser. Inevitably people sing along and many stop eating just to watch her amazing skill on guitar. Her hands move so fast that they blur and all of her music is from memory. I happen to know that last night was a new set with a more mellow vibe, but she played it smooth and steady like she had been playing it her entire life. If you get the opportunity to see her play, GO!!!

My husband and I went on a date night to this place. We figured we would step out of the ordinary go to Mexican restaurant. Let's just say this place was good. If you have Kory as your server he will not let you down. He made sure everything was how you expected it with a very friendly customer service. While eating out during covid I can say I was very pleased with the social distanced tables. The hostess was constantly wiping down all the menus and bar stool chairs. Not to mention they had bottles of hand sanitizer at every table that could or was being occupied. I had a Mexican sunset which tasted very good, and for sure STRONG. My husband has a perfect margarita he said that thing was good and strong as well. My husband also had a house margarita that one was not near as strong as the perfect butbyoubpay for what you really want. J would love to say we were very satisfied customers and will being going back.

I came on taco Tuesday at 6pm . The place was packed . I was excited about trying a new Tex mex place, chips and salsa were good. So good start. I ordered a ground beef taco and burrito. I received an enchilada and taco, no biggie, I like both. But it was disappointing as so many are . It was a store bought crunchy taco shell, plain barely seasoned ground beef with lettuce and cheese . The enchilada was just the same plain ground beef in a corn tortilla with some shredded melted cheese on top. It’s a cute little place . Food is Meh. I think a good place for margaritas and chips/salsa.

This is a compromise number. My husband would probably have given it a 5 for his fajitas. He said they were fine and he ate until he was full. On my own, I would have given it a 1, lower if possible, for my meal. Actually I didn't have a meal. I had chips and salsa, of course. I ordered an order of fries, which never came. My husband had ordered chili cheese fries and it was plenty to share, but I thought that was a gloppy mess and ate only a couple of bites. I ordered a steak quesadilla, one of my favorite things. I never ordered it here before, but I used to order it often at our beloved Gringo's, which we miss SO much. I was shocked when I saw the quesadilla. Instead of the crispy golden brown I've always had in the past, it was literally black on both sides. I gave it a chance and ate one slice, but it tasted burned, because it WAS. When the server saw me not eating and asked if I needed a box, I told him I did not want to take the food home and why. He took it away and didn't charge me for it, but it sure wasn't a good lunch experience. Drove to town on a hot day to have lunch and shop a little and felt like it wasn't worth the trouble. I don't know if they always serve their quesadillas like that and you have to specify that you don't want it blackened, or if the cook lost control and burned it, then was too lazy to just make another one and thought he'd see if he could get away with sending it out. This was our third try of this place. First time, I liked my food okay and my husband didn't like his. Second time we both liked our food. Any restaurant is only as good as the cook on duty, and this place...

Edited, see below. Original review; Chips and Salsa and fried ice cream are amazing. I've eaten here for as long as I can remember-never disappointed!

Edited; added 05/23/2021

Check your receipts very carefully! First off, the food is still great. The waitress was very nice but not that attentive! What we ordered: 3 - $1 tacos 2 - sides of French fries 3 - drinks 1 - enchilada What we got: 8 - tacos 1 - sides of fries and another basket with SEVEN fries in it 3 - drinks 1 - enchilada What our charge was $32.00 When they dropped off our food we told the guy who left it that it wasn't right, and his response was "Well, I guess you got free food then." We ate what we ordered and the rest just sat there. Once our food came the waitress came and said "Yall ready for to-go drinks?" After that we didn't get another refill. After ~15 minutes my daughter that only got SEVEN fries ate the other tacos that we didn't order. When the ticket came we asked why we were charged for 2 2-taco plates instead of the two Ala cart sides of fries and the 2 $1 tacos and got no answer, aside from hearing them talk to each other about why we were complaining when we "obviously ate all" of it. So we paid our ticket and left. Jury is still out on whether we'll return for inside-dining though, which is sad since we've been regulars since the...
