I wanted to let you know that my family (total of 9) had dinner at your State Rd 37 (Meijer Drive) location in Fort Wayne Indiana last night (7/7/24) and it was a terrible experience. We were only 1 of 5 tables in the restaurant and waited 1 hour for our food, and when it came to the table (at different times) several of the orders were incorrect or missing something. My Chicken Broccoli Alfredo was cold and the cheese had everything stuck together as if it had been sitting for awhile. As we waited for our food we watched several people come in and leave again because no one came to seat them or there were told there was a 25 minute wait, which was crazy because at this point there were only our table and a few people at the bar. We then witnessed a group of 4 ladies come in, they were told there was a wait but they sat them. They ended up leaving because they told them that there was a wait but would not even give them drinks or menus, the reason was because there were no clean dishes and only 1 cook. There is absolutely no reason for this, if that location is that short staffed it would have been better to hang a sign on the door explaining why they are closed instead of treating customers they way we and others were treated. My husband and I have both worked in the food service industry and understand how the restaurant business works so normally we have sympathy for places with issues of lack of help, but this was ridiculous. You have lost our family as customers and I would assume all the customers in cars (4 families) we turned away in the parking lot. We explained to all the families we turned away that we were there for almost 2 hours and that when we left we were the only customers in the restaurant that apparently they were short staffed and it would be worth their while to eat elsewhere. I also want to make you aware that at no point during the 2 hours our family sat at the table no manager ever was seen or stopped at our table to check on us or explain the situation. I know that all stores have cameras so please feel free to check that location to very everything I just told you. I hope as a company that all your locations are not run like this one. Read moreI am completely astonished by the service I’ve received this last week from this Applebee’s I am a regular customer here as my fiancée and I go here for date night at least once or twice a month. But the one time I have a take out order I am completely mistreated. Last Sunday 3/16 I put in a pick up order online to grab lunch before work. I get to work and check and I’ve gotten the wrong order, I call back they say I can pick it up now or they’ll have their manager call me back. I leave my name and number because I’m already at work and they said the manager would call me back within an hour or two. The day goes by no call, the next day Monday I call and ask for a manager since I never got a call back, the manager gets on the phone and obviously has an attitude which I find strange since I’m being nice I’m not being rude at all I’ve worked in food service for 5 years I know mistakes happen. She tells me my only option is for a virtual gift card because they don’t do remakes or refunds which I thought was weird but okay that’s policy I’ll deal with it. She tells me it’ll only take one or two days for the email to come. I check my email every day it doesn’t come, so I call back 3/22 a full six days later since I got the wrong order and it’s the same manager again with an attitude and absolutely no apology she offers no excuse except she’s not the one that sends the gift cards through but she’ll make sure someone does by the next day. It’s now mid day 2 days later and no gift card thing for the balance I spent on the meal I never got 8 days ago. I’m seriously ready to just dispute the charge since obviously this establishment isn’t trying to give me what I paid for. Read moreI took my family out to dinner at one of the local Applebee's. I received the worst service from a server today. It took 2 times asking my husband what he ordered for his drink. It took 20 minutes for him to get a beer from the tap. But the alcoholic mix drink came out before the sodas? Don't you think the bar drinks would have both been made at the same time? I was a server for a long time. Then we waited for almost 45 minutes to get our food. Oh wait it still took longer than that. Then when we got upset the server had to tell other tables we asked to speak to the manager. Mind you only 2 meals came out right before the manager came. Needless ti say we didn't even eat our food. There was no need for the server to announce to everyone in the restaurant that we asked for the manager. I understand the short staff, but again others who came in after us were already eating and drinking. That is very poor customer service from the server as well as the manager. We ordered at 7pm. The restaurant wasn't even that busy. But somehow we got shifty service and got attitude thrown in our face. You can bet I'm no longer going to any Applebee's in the town that I live.
