B Antonio's Pizza — Restaurant in Fort Wayne

Went to the Lima road location tonight, the server in the beginning apologized because they were short staffed which I understood. She asked are drinks before even getting to the table, she came back to the table after never leaving menus, and asked if we were ready to order. She brought the bill about 5 minutes into eating, then a few minutes later she comes to the table to get payment because she was scheduled off an hour ago! She said “if you give me your card then you will just need to sign” she proceeded to stand and stare because she wanted prompt payment. I asked her for a moment to get my cash together and then got ready to leave. We stood at the counter and were checked out by someone else. While my fiancée and I are walking to our car she runs out into the parking yelling!! “ma’am did you pay the bill?” Basically accusing of dining and dashing …. How incredibly rude and unprofessional. I prefer to resolve issues while in the restaurant rather than in a public forum. With that said we have had the sausage roll and calzone three separate times in the last 45 days. Each time was on a Sunday. Each time the dough was mostly raw, browned outside, raw interior. Sent back to be sent through the oven again or remade. I have spoken with the staff each time (after paying) as I am not trying to get free meals. Today was the final time. We ordered stuffed breadsticks as an appetizer, arrived browned but completely uncooked inside. I actually pulled raw dough from inside. Sausage roll was good, calzone was again uncooked around the outside. After paying I requested to speak with a manager, was told "Rod is out on a delivery" "we are short staffed". Every once in a while you run into a business that just "gets it". They have good ingredients, good service, and reasonable prices. B Antonio's is one of these places.

It's obvious that they care about their employees, because that treatment is reflected in how the employees treat the customers. I have always (as in every single time, over multiple years) had great service at this B Antonio's. And their pizza is super good, too; my go-to on this end of town, hands down.
