Met my parents here with my children at 11 am on a Sunday. It was busy but we were seated promptly and the table was spacious. However, we were not greeted by anyone at the table for almost 1/2 hour. I would chalk this up to overcrowding and understaffing except the waitress that eventually came to check on us was over at the 2 tables right next to us 2-3 times each so she saw us. she also took the order of a table that was seated about 10 minutes after us befire us. when she came over, she was very nice and got our orders right but the service was just slow. It took another 20 minutes to get drinks so 50 minutes in all. Then we placed the order for food and, again, very slow. In all, we were there for 1 hour and 50 minutes for a brunch that should've been 45-60 minutes, tops. Regarding the food, I ordered the Homestyle breakfast, biscuits w sausage gravy, 2 eggs, hashbrowns, and a meat. The hash brows were brown to a crisp-way overdone. The eggs were prepared paper thin. I don't even know how they did that but, regardless, when you go to the local Greek-run breakfast places, "2 eggs" somehow fill half a plate. These were 2 diet eggs, i guess....just wasn't much there. The biscuits and gravy were good. My son got a hot chocolate that was about 1/3 liquid and then a bunch of whipped cream. While he enjoyed that, it certainly isn't what he ordered. There were also supposed to be blueberries for the eyes on the kids happy face pancake and, they substituted chocalate syrup instead. (This is not a big deal in and of itself but the picky kid did not like). All in all, between the service and the food, not a great experience. It wasn't horrible but, as far as local breakfast options go, there are an assortment of...
Read moreEither I came on the worst night Bob Evans has ever had or these reviews are fake, because there’s no way this place deserves 4 stars.
We got there for a late dinner around 7 pm and the place was kind of busy but there was one waiter for the whole dining room so he was way too slammed to get refills for us. I ordered a hot chocolate but ended up asking to cancel it because I had waited 15 minutes and it wasn’t coming anytime soon. When we were deciding what to order, the only vegetarian friendly option they have on the adult menu are their breakfast items. There isn’t even a simple macaroni and cheese dish or even a grilled cheese, so if you’re a vegetarian then I hope you like pancakes. There looked to be 4 or 5 kitchen staff and our food took over 30 minutes to come out. Since it was a late dinner, most of the other customers already had their food so I’m not sure why it took so long for ours. The food was saltless and bland; it was hot, but my burger was sloppily put together so the cheese was melted half off the bun and the other toppings were barely hanging on, the bacon was burnt, and the fries were old. After we were done, it took my family getting up and leaving while I stayed at the table before our waiter came by with the check. Lastly, on Tuesdays kids eat free which was a nice surprise. However, the woman that rang me up didn’t remove the kids meals, so now I have to call and request a refund for those. I didn’t expect much from Bob Evans and it’s probably been over a decade since I’ve last eaten there so this was a great reminder for why it’s been so long. It’s not even worth going on the nights kids eat free. There’s no way this...
Read moreWebsite broken - unable to place to go order without inputting CC Information, but it won't work so I'm forced to call.
Phone answered by an extremely short and rude woman who tells me, "you need to give me a minute" when I ask if I can place a to go order.
Placed on hold for 2 minutes without actually being placed on hold. Can hear the woman who answered the phone chatting and laughing in the background?
She comes back to the phone, I order a salad, she tells me I MUST order a side because she's going to charge it to me anyway? Despite this not being listed online when ordering.
Attempt to order a family size chicken noodle soup next. She tells me, "We're out." That's all. No additional information given or suggested. After a brief moment of silence she says, "I guess I can go check and see if they'll make more." Doesn't wait for me to say anything but places the phone down again and after 30 seconds the call is disconnected.
Despite providing my phone number at the beginning of this conversation no attempts are made to call me back.
Go to contact corporate - goes straight to some voicemail that I'm sure will never get heard.
So tired of these companies being able to treat the customer however they want with no consequences.
I'm sure some random corporate bot will respond to this review with a "link" to provide "feedback" that will once again...
