SMPL Kitchen | FW — Restaurant in Fort Wayne

I heard some reviews of this new restaurant in Fort Wayne and finally tried it. I ordered a chop salad ($12.50) and added chicken ($4.00). I should've stopped right there. Even with inflation, $16+ for one salad, and after tax and tip it was $20+? The creamy herb dressing was super watery and super garlicky; everything else was nothing better than a pre-packaged grocery store salad. Honestly, I would jump at an opportunity for a $11 salad from Wendy's any day over this. Maybe their other items are better, but I will definitely not return to try again - based on experience and the sheer expense of cold prepared foods in Fort Wayne...

Got the blackened shrimp bowl and greek salad today and let me tell you it was sooo good. I’m a very picky eater who is currently learning how to like and enjoy healthy foods. This place has made it a lot easier on someone like me who was raised on frozen dinners and fast food. They keep it very simple and don’t drown their food in sauces.

The blackened shrimp was fresh and very testy. Could taste everything in the bowl and it felt home cooked.

The greek salad was so bright in flavor and super enjoyable. Super fresh and tasty.
