This review is for this visit only, I usually get exceptional service at this location. On August 21, 2018, I went after work to pick up dinner for my friend who is fighting cancer and going through chemo. A filet-o-fish sounded good to them, appetite is hit or miss when going through this, so I was glad I could get something they may eat. I pulled into the drive thru, sat there, no one on my speaker, but 3 cars in the other lane go through. I pulled up to the payment window without ordering. I tried to explain no one came to my speaker and was only treated with, “Thank you for choosing McDonald’s, how can I help you?” Just as if I was at the speaker!! No apology given. I order and proceed to the next window. They asked me to pull over. I tried to explain I couldn’t wait long, they asked again for me to please pull over. Other cars were coming and going, I waited 5 minutes until the young man came to my window. He proceeded to put his hand inside my bag to see what was in it to verify my order. ICK! I told him the survey for this visit wasn’t going to be a good one. I did the survey and asked to be contacted by management. I received a call from “no caller ID” and received a message from the manager. They would try to contact me again around 2:30. No call until the following day. I was at work, told her I would try to call her back in about 15 minutes but couldn’t as we were busy. I called back a few hours later and was told she would call me back as she had left for the day. No call back yet. Just some advice: 1) Call back when it’s convenient for your customer, not yourself. 2) You don’t always know what is going on in someone’s life and when they say they cannot wait, please don’t push them aside. 3) Give your customer a chance to speak when they have a complaint at the window, the problem could have been taken care of at that time and could have changed a bad experience into a good one. 4) I have been to this location more times than I could count, this was an exception to their usual great service. I will return many times again. I just wanted my story told, listened to, and maybe a lesson learned about compassion for their customers. Sometimes something SMALL like a filet-o-fish can make a HUGE difference in...
Read moreRarely have ever been pleased with the service here. Out of every McDonalds in Fort Wayne, this is by far the worst. If you want McDonalds, drive the extra 10 minutes to the one on Lima, you'll probably save time. Drive through line always takes forever. There's times when there will be 2-3 people ahead of you and you'll wait for 25 minutes in line. Most of the staff doesn't know what they're doing. I've ordered caramel iced coffee from here multiple times and seen 3 people trying to figure out how to make it. Food never tastes good, always cold. Went there a month or so ago and just ordered two drinks through the drive through and paid for them. Got up to the window to get our drinks and the lady tells us that the coke isn't working, and something needs to be changed that she doesn't know how to do. Asks us if we want another drink and we say no, and ask for a refund. No one comes back for 5 minutes then a manager asks us what we're waiting on and we tell him. Girl at the window comes back and sees that we're complaining and says that the only person who knows how to change whatever needed to be changed was too short to do it, which makes 0 sense because how would she have done it before. She huffs after we complain again and says in the worst attitude, "Ill just go change it for you since you won't have anything else." We say we don't want drinks and just want our money back, $2.16. We received $1.05 and noticed right after we left (the exchange at the 2nd window was at least 8-10 minutes). Walked back inside and they wouldn't give us our money and claimed that we had all the...
Read moreI ordered on the kiosk and we had the food to go, the. Guy with the nails then proceeds to put the food on the tray as if we were eating inside, We tell him that we got the food to go, He walks over to the bags with a mean look and an attitude, he comes back with a bag and throws the food in the bag. Smooshing the sandwiches together to put in the bag, grabs the fries tightly picking it up causing the fries to fall out the box. I asked nicely if they didn’t handle the food the way he did. He gave me a mean look and continued to throw the food in the bag. I then proceeded to make it loud and known and asked if y’all are allowed to throw food in bags. The nearby employees just stared at me. I then turned and looked at the manager and told the manager. The manager apologized and asked if we would like another fry. And said he will talk to the employee, (the guy with the nails). I do not recommend going to this McDonald’s. I’ve had nothing but problems when I go to that McDonald’s. They throw your cheeseburger together not caring, submerging the burger in ketchup or mustard or onions. To look like a sloppy cheeseburger. Drive through is even worse. Lady at the first window having troubles to take your order. Do not go to this McDonald. Go the extra Mile to a...
